Is it possible to switch off the 5G connectivity and use the other connectivities of the phone (4G, 3G etc) in a 5G phone generally?

10SioN, 15 Dec 2019Not trying to support the other guy on 120Hz, but respondin... moreYou clearly haven't used a 120hz display, forget games and movies, UI is extremely smooth.

Huge difference between navigating through the phone and just general touch response and scrolling on 120hz vs 60hz.

As I said, You have to use one. Once you use a 120hz display, you ain't going back to 60hz. Period.

Anonymous, 13 Dec 2019What phone do you use? Coz I saw you on another article ar... moreNot trying to support the other guy on 120Hz, but responding to your post.

120Hz may be the future, but without the contents, its just a piece of hardware. And WHEN else can you actually enjoy the 120Hz? Not even movie contents. YouTube? Nope.
Games? How many? How widespread is the user base?
This is "now" no different than 3D TV tech those years back. Just a gimmick. And now it's pretty much dead in the TV industry.

Not saying 120Hz is a bad thing. Its a bonus. But pointless now. Just a selling point gimmick which you'd almost never use. So, are we paying extra for luxury?
Even the Realme X2 Pro with 90Hz is considered great already with more games supporting it NOW.

Also, a great future tech, so how long do you think you're gonna keep using this phone from NOW? 2 years? Will we really have 100s of 120Hz games and millions of videos in 120Hz in 2 years? Games maybe. Video, no way.

In the end this becomes a ROG2 budget competitor. Not for typical mass user, but mainly pure gamers or gamer pro wannabes. Or at least to people who'd like to show off they have the 120Hz but hardly use them.

Otherwise, this phone is still a fantastic phone to have. The rest of the features are still pretty desirable. However, the processor it being 7xx series, not sure if its a deal or not (altho today's 7xx series is pretty much on par or better than yesteryear's 8xx series).
Camera specs looks very desirable too. However, judging from past Mi devices cameras, it is still slightly below top flags on nightmode / nightshots. Just a shy away from being a flagship killer.

Coz I saw you on another article arguing how 120hz displays are pointless given the battery drain (even though battery drain is around 10% on ROG 2).

You seem to have a personal vendetta against 120hz display.
It's the future. Nobody goes back to 60hz display after using 120hz irrespective of whether you play games or not.

where high frame rate matters and improves Gameplay.
A whole list out there. Simple Google search is enough. You'll know when you play them.

Maybe not demanding titles like pub G but lot of others can reach maximum 120fps limit. They might not be popular with you but Lotta other ppl play it.
