Lucy, 13 Dec 2019I Will upgrade my Huawei p30 to p40 if they have play store... moreA lot of people have the misconception that it's impossible to get Google services on the Mate 30 and later phones. This is wrong. You can easily just get a GMS installer to install it for you. Here in China we've never gotten google play services on ANY phone, including Samsung and Xiaomi, so we have to install it every time manually; and for every phone I've had I've installed GMS. It's a piece of cake to do. Just search "gms installer apk" and run it on your phone. Restart it and boom you have Google play services.

Since iOS 11, iOS is now based on a 64-bit architecture. iPhone 2G has a 32-bit processor. Also, my iPhone 5c can't even run iOS 10.3.3 without freezing half of the time so there is absolutely no way an iPhone 2G can run iOS 13 smoothly.

Go into any news on Apple and you hear from android fanboy, and vice versa for Android or any brand news/review. Everybody has got different preference.
Anyway, I am sure the manufacturer know better which feature is more sought after, afterall they have their own market data.

Everyone has preferences, but I was remarking on what they attribute to be popular features. A well selling phone may not be 100% perfect. What worries me is that I suspect that the curved screen is thought to be a popular feature. The comments here usually disagree. Like lucky underpants. If something good happens, I may falsely attribute it to the underwear I wore, rather than an actual reason.

Ugh, w... more"Furthermore it's more convenient when the app uses biometric authentication to auto-fill passwords/make a payment since in those situations you're already staring at the display."
You can do that via the fingerprint sensors on the Samsung phones too and because of the way most people hold their phones the finger is close to the fingerprint sensor.
The only thing Face unlock has over fingerprints is when your fingers are wet but thats definetly less than 5 percent of the time. Unless you always in the shower using your phone.
Face unlock will phase out and Apple is the main company behind it and it be back to fingerprint sensors. This is just a stop gap till Samsung and others can finally do under display sensors (a big portion of the screen can be used to unlock device rather tha a small portion)

Ugh, well that's very unfortunate to hear. I thought they would tuck the whole module in under the display to entirely eliminate the notch, so if that's actually true then I must say for me it's really a sad news.
"Even their P series had Face ID unlock"
No, P series never had a secure 3D face scanner. P20 Pro and P30 Pro didn't have it, but Mate 20 Pro and Mate 30 Pro did, so I'm expecting to see the same pattern with next year's P series. It would definitely suck if this wouldn't be the case, however.
"It is stupid because your FPS can do everything a Face ID can do and faster"
Face scanner can unlock your phone even when your finger is dirty or wet, and with that you don't need to pay attention to which section of the display you're touching when you're picking up your phone to unlock it, which makes a huge difference on a phone that has in-display FPS. Furthermore it's more convenient when the app uses biometric authentication to auto-fill passwords/make a payment since in those situations you're already staring at the display. I have been using face unlock feature on my S10 and P30 since day 1. Since neither of them have a secure 3D face unlock obviously I can't use them for transactions, but I would say it's acting as a great backup whenever the FPS fails/unavailable for some reasons, and even without FPS 3D face scanner should work really well by its own.

Nick Tagataka, 12 Dec 2019There is no solution for the 3D face scanner, the 3D face s... more"Apple will keep using Face ID for future iPhones and Huawei will keep including the equivalent feature in their Mate series."
Apple might be planning to ditch Face ID in iPhones. That's according to a report from the China Times that quotes an analyst at investment firm Credit Suisse in Asia who says Apple will begin phasing out its Face ID biometric authentication system in iPhones starting in 2020
And how do you know the face ID will be in the Mate series? Even their P series had Face ID unlock and removed it so eventually it will happen and I will be there to remind ya ;)
"To me it looks like you're just calling it stupid simply because you never used it and your phone doesn't have it, duh."
When I buy a phone I dont want it to have an ugly notch and I can live without any Face ID, Iris scanner as long as I have a fingerprint sensor. It is stupid because your FPS can do everything a Face ID can do and faster. I can have my phone unlock the second its out my pocket I dont need to look at the device so it can scan me.

Anonymous, 12 Dec 2019I got my Galaxy buds with my Note 10 so I have 2 headphones... moreThere is no solution for the 3D face scanner, the 3D face scanner is the solution FOR SECURE FACE UNLOCK. A punch hole is the worst solution for putting a FFC because it forces the notification bar to be taller (it takes up more height) than a regular teardrop notch but doesn't bring any advantage over it, and it doesn't matter which company does it. Apple will keep using Face ID for future iPhones and Huawei will keep including the equivalent feature in their Mate series. To me it looks like you're just calling it stupid simply because you never used it and your phone doesn't have it, duh.

Now you had the far superior but ugly notch with Face ID whats your solution? LOL oh yeah you have to enjoy your curved display with punch hole which by the time P40 comes out Samsung users will have had that for over 1 year :D
Face ID is stupid and something Apple created and Huawei just copied them and now they following Samsungs footsteps ;)

Shaun, 12 Dec 2019Huawei is punishing Samsung and Apple big timePunishing them how?
Apple makes more money than Huawei and Samsung
Samsung is still Number 1 OEM
GSMArena rated the Note 10 as the best flagship
The Iphone and Galaxy have some of the best video recording and images out there they rated as some of the best if you follw dxomark.
Next year Samsung are upping the game ALOT
120hz display, the new and improved 108mp camera sensor, the S11 will have a 4500 mah battery and the S11 Plus will have a 5000mah battery.
Every year the Iphones and Samsungs have been the devices to beat same for this year.
