Flashback: the Nokia N91 was legendary for its audio quality, but was a one-off

22 December 2019
It failed to kill the iPod as it was intended to do. Also, its micro HDD and slider with music controls design didn't catch on.

The only device to compete with Nokia is only Nokia itself. Still love the sound of Nokia 6233.

I have a 8GB one. Bought at ₹23k in 2008. I loved the phone to the core! It was an eyecatcher and conversation starter. That was the period when I have listened to the music for max hours. Loved it's music shortcut keys, slide down keyboard. I punched max rate of texting on that T9 keypad. Sadly the fun lasted only 1 year. After a year the network chip died. Color was also coming off the metal. I spent ₹8k more for the body and repairs, but the network never came. Now it lies in my cupboard in my parent's home, preciously maintained. I had last switched it on in 2019. Music, video all were working fine. I just wish I get network on it.. so that i can use it on some days and flaunt the retro beauty.. Just for the old times sake..!

Instead of flash backs, show that Nokia wants a Snapdragon 765 for its next model.

Just looking at this flashbacks dhould point out where mobile technology comes from.

Back then cellphones used to be fun with everyone being unique, I always looked forward to the next design & with what special features it'll bring... today the magic is lost.

Are you guys going to do a Sony Ericsson throwback? Especially the Walkman series in which proved better and more popular than the Nokia offerings

I wasn't into Nokia ... I had some cheap ones but my ex-colleague had one these N91. It look good. I preferred Sony's T series phones.
