this is simply a lie. I don't know one person around me that's going to buy a Huawei phone. They haven't released a new Huawei device since the P30 and every other good phone that they have made is only being released in China, so there is no way they are beating Samsung or Xiaomi until they sort out their game.

In China you can cash in on patriotic lying (that includes lying for Huawei) while the truth about Huawei is silenced to the greatest extent possible, as clearly demonstrated in the 251 incident, this cannot possibly be compared to "negative propaganda" by Trump which has no influence on media beyond the US.

It's a nice excuse, but, I think the reality is that the majority simply doesn't trust thoroughbred Chinese technology.
