Pabliell, 04 Jan 2020Oh I understand it. But throwing away useful tech, even old... moreMan i understands you.
I am thinking different way.
Even if i have mmoney to buy even the Galaxy fold or more expensive device for me all i need is a phone for dialing messaging sometimes i go internet and i ma heavy gamer so a good battery and a better than average CPU is all i need.
Having a 1000 or 1500 euros flagship for things which Redmi 8 note pro for 250 bucks can do mens throwing 750 - 1250 bucks to bin for having a just bit better device which will do exactly same for a lot more money.
I rather give money to the homeless and poor than buy something super expensive for my self.
I was here always for others but never for my self.
Its not good you say maybe, but i was always like this.

A few things to clarify: 1) The Galaxy S series uses Qualcomm chips (not Exynos) in USA + China releases. 2) It's notable that 2019 was the first year a full slate of A-series phones became available in USA. Another win for Sammy. I for one had been interested in these high-midrangers for several years because the competition either had none or had inferior offerings, but prior to 2018 there were no A-series sold here. 3) The Galaxy S-series also retain the 3.5mm audio jack, which I was happy about. (I get that not everyone thinks it important but some of us old fogeys just like to have the wired option.) And on a totally unrelated note-- Oh My F***ing God! How I feel sad for those poor peeps who paid almost $2K for the Fold and then peeled the top laminate off their screen. It pays to do research and read GSMArena articles to try to avoid such debacles....

But throwing away useful tech, even old, for the sake of profit is not a consumer friendly practice and should raise protests. For me it simply means I have one less option to choose from when I'm gonna change my phone next time, which I planned for this year.
I always bought flagships, price is not a problem for me, I simply require features. Now flagships have less features than mid range phones and that's ridiculous. Being forced to buy lower grade phone, because greed made the flagship worse.
And one thing. Professionals and audiophiles still use the analog old tech and are still improving it, if it was old and bad they'd switch to digital long ago.

Pabliell, 30 Dec 2019I agree wireless is the future, but we live in the present.... moreMan your presume is your presume big cmpanies dont think the way you think.
To sell more and expensive wireless audio they had to withdrawn jack and send him to a last sail
Maybe phones dont have it for a long time but its here since 1867 when it begun on first tech devices which were amazing at that time.
Current and present phones can standalone without jack and they are ready to.
So why to keep something which is not needed anymore.

Where K20 pro cost to make is 200 and is sold for 300.
Everything what you said is just your opinion or more like a dream.
In real life comparison the A70 is nit better it never will be.

Headphone jack as a standard for phones is here for like 12 years, so not that long. Most of the audio related accessories are connected to it. And until wireless headphones are as good while as cheap as wired ones, I will need a headphone jack. So I'd presume it will take 5 more years.

Pabliell, 26 Dec 2019Loser: Galaxy Note 10 duo. While being overall pretty good ... moreMan having no jack is not compromis its called the future and evolution or revolution.
Analog ancient technologies have no place and space in new modern future like devices. Samsung knows that very well thus they withdrawn this cons called a headphone jack for a something else and better called future of technology.
Ibet and home the new Samsung phones from lowest models iup to the beasts will come without this ancient quint of technology.
Jack was here for a very long time.
Since 1867 we can say probbably too long. Its time to kiss him goodbye and frewell forewer and move along the nex oportunities without something useless like a jack.
This big hole was just iobsolette thing good for catching the dust debris and liquid.
I am only glad they took it away.

I think glass back is just overrated. And not practical either, you need to be extra careful, almost all the time you need to put it in some case. Why is the point of beautiful design then?!

                                But, everyone with their taste.
I don't like glass back phones and curved displays. I had them, they are the worst design ever from practical point of view.

If your an average user, the A series from Samsung is trully wonderful. They have almost the same things like the flagship devices with minor compromises.
And the biggest advantage = price with up to 70% that of a flagship.
In my opinion I don't understand why casual users are still buying flagship phones. Maybe social status, or they are just idiots, or they don't have anything better to do with their money..

in this area i think even apple with its much more closed and controlled devices would battle to be as quick on its feet as samsung .
I suspect for some companys a very huge problem like the note 7 battery issue for example could have been a straw that finished off a company .
The logistics and tasks to deal with where truly of epic proportions ,
but Samsung showed that in the face of insurmountable odds , they will just step up and do what has to be done to tackle a big problem.
And the fold was just another example of Samsung problem solving .
