Let me eiiiiiiiiin, 29 Dec 2019Lol agreed. And what with this heat reason, I charge with ... moreThe overnight charging is not an issue either since software on modern smartphones allows you to charge extremely slow overnight or turn it off after reaching 100%.
Plus heat is generated at the charger not in the phone with latest charging tech like Oppo VOOC or OnePlus Dash charging. So minimal heat on the actual device getting charged. This is how manufacturers can give fast charging beyond 50W without degrading battery health.

This is incredible and from results or let me say leaks it might be 4800-5000 mAh battery so its really cool.

kiasunkiasi, 29 Dec 2019nah, people will start complaining why there's no water res... moreSome will complain, others will be happy. I have 10k mah replaceable externally chargeable batteries and I wouldn't give this up. And I like the size too.
It's really sad to see people with a $800 phone beg for electricity like junkies...
While my phone lasts for days, even when I play World of Tanks.

kiasunkiasi, 29 Dec 2019nah, people will start complaining why there's no water res... moreSome or many people will complain but many others won't. I'm fully aware my phone is not water resistant, yet I wouldn't give up my huge replaceable battery.
It is freedom. I haven't plugged in my phone for perhaps an year. I just swap the batteries and charge them externally. And the people looking for a bite of electricity to charge their phones look like some abstinent electricity junkies to me.

normal people will just leave them until they need the phone again...

after creating ugly camera humps when manufacturers competing for thinness, now they are trying to sell more replacement units by offering to kill your batteries quicker?

It makes the phone bigger but I got used to it and now anything smaller looks not serious to me (I mean in terms of grip too, the capacity aside).
Nothing beats replaceable externally chargeable batteries.
At least they make battery cases for Xiaomi.

Most of these users are iPhone... moreLol agreed. And what with this heat reason, I charge with 30w brick all the time on 21celcius ambient temp and my battery temperature never exceed 35 Celsius. Even playing games will normally heat it upto 42 Celsius btw.
Things that kills your batteries is charging it overnight / charge to 100 % (this is the fact of all li-ion / li-po battery). Fast charging enable you to charge in short rest ( ie lunch/shower time), in 30 min I can charge from 30% to 70%, extremely optimal range for battery life cycles.

Anonymous, 28 Dec 2019well if they allow us to take off the battery and put anoth... moreThank you. That's why I'm still using the LG V20. Bought two 4,500 mAH batteries with a charger for the spares and it's been a simple "0-100% in 30 seconds (not minutes)" type of deals instead of killing my battery with hyper-fast charging.

well if they allow us to take off the battery and put another one in, we wouldn't need fast charge. we will just buy 1 or 2 spare batteries and an external charger. we used to be able to do that a few years ago. we didn't have to wait an hour, we just plug in a new battery.

Most of these users are iPhone users who have weak 18w charging.
The moment Apple gives them 65w charging, suddenly fast charging will not degrade battery health.

Joke aside, I am poor and I can change my phone each 6 to 12 months. I usually buy 200-250€ phones.
Nowadays there is a good phone for everybody. The explanation "I am poor I can't afford a new phone" is actually translated "I want the latest iPhone or Note series phone, but I am too poor".
Majority of people are not poor, they just want too expensive phones.
