How is this news?
Even in Australia you've been able to buy these kinds of cheap Nokias for $19, for a long time. (15 Euro). In a prepaid kit with included $10 worth of call credit to spend!
Another article based on clueless US based perspective.

I think, only nokia makes this kind of move who always target the people who can't afford to buy expensive Smartphones, yet they offer users a user-friendly handset at affordable price.

My question is, with the Smartphone market now booming more than ever before, if and when this phone starts selling globally, will it surpass sales figures of the ever-present Nokia 1100?
Personally, I think not, but time will tell. Its great that Nokia are continuing to cater for developing markets probably more tham any other manufacturer.

Anonymous, 10 Apr 2012i have vertu signature s (ORIGINAL), nokia 6700 chrome. ver... moreDude, seriously. No one cares about your Vertu. I'm sure you were the one who made a comment on the SGIII, because I remember someone made reference to having a Vertu phone there. Who cares dude?! Buying a Vertu phone shows you care more about form than function. Saying you don't use it everyday, proves you truly couldn't afford it. But hey, you got to mention your phone on a comments page, congrats. Now pipe down!

This is sign that Nokia will soon be capable of producing only low-end very basic model phones and make it news in GSM Arena. Nokia, I would like to see more low-end cheap phones from you for my grandmother as capability of launching dual cores and quad cores is not your cup of tea.
