I believe Nokia did an amazing job! Given the quick turn around to fix the issue. My last phone before my Nokia Lumia 800 which I love was a Samsung Galaxy S2 and it took Samsung over three months to send out a patch to fix it's HSDPA+ data connection issues and after the patch was finally send out my handset apps keep locking up and closing even after wiping it 2 or 3 times.

Whatchasay, 12 Apr 2012Reading (or the English language) REALLY isn't your strong ... moreSamsung sells much due to mass marketing and perhaps even more. Here in Norway, Samsung commercials are the only commercial hanging from the roofs, and posted in their windows, of NetCom (one of the country's biggest carriers and part of TeliaSonera) retailers. Motorola was not allowed in NetCom's franchise stores, despite the fact that NetCom was supposed to be a official retailer for Motorola.

On to their webstore, Motorola did not even get their own category - you had to search by name, and they made it MORE expensive to buy with contract than without from other online stores.

After just a few months they even removed all Motorola phones from their webstore. probably when confronted on why they have them in their online store and not allowed in retailers. . .

Not only that, we have two or three major national consumer advising sites for gadget testing, sites that consumer programmes shown on national TV use for testing phones. Last December, long after RAZR had arrived and been tested by them on their sites, they excluded it (and Atrix) from their test for cosnumer advising TV shows, and yet included a recommendation of the then unreleased Galaxy note.

Same again a few weeks ago while testing phones below NOK 3000. The Atrix is a golden choice here at NOK 2600, but not tested at all. Even if it's the only dual-core 1Gb qHD in this price range, and they have tested it previously on their sites.

Prices in NOK may not mean musch to many here, but to give you and impression; Norway was of the first countries the SII was launched in a year ago, it's normal webstore price right now is about NOK 4095. The much newer Motorola RAZR was launched November/December, and it's ordinary price now is NOK 3179. That's how much Sammy owners pay for marketing.

Sammy pays a lot for marketing and therefore sells much, because that's the phones people see everywhere they look. Apple get tonns of free marketing every day in every article about any phone and/or tablet, and they sell much.

Motorola has about 0 % money spent on advertising here in Norway, but at least those of us able to look ourselves, can get a RAZR for about NOK 1000 ($173) less than the SII. The SII is 29 % more expensive than the RAZR, even though the RAZR is newer, thinner, has higher res on newer type display, with more innovating solutions such as Webtop (which Sony is copying now), MotoCast, Smart Actions (that Samsung eventually will copy on future phones [SII]) and more. Not to mention the materials, plastic SII versus KEVLAR RAZR. And it has bigger battery, and the RAZR MAXX even bigger at about the same price in the US, so most likely about the same price when launched in Europe.

Back on topic. Nokia had a fault on their phone, fix will be out and available in about four days from now. They have given a 100$ compensation to each customer, and offers customer to trade in their phones to one without this fault. They can't do much more, nor should they need to. No SII owners here received any apology from Sammy concerning their messed up ICS update with it's buggyness and lack of features, which most who are able to downgrade from - already have.
