Seems like this Nokia+Microsoft marriage is on the rocks.Honestly,Nokia are just falling backwards.Calling this a flagship in the year 2012 is so pointless.Nokia are currently where Samsung was when they unleashed the Galaxy S.Yeah, 2 years behing.

@ALL: Finally! Something we can agree on! Although we do agree that Nokia is floundering at the moment, trying to win the hearts and minds of the users, we know that we have one thing in common: The enormous dissatisfaction with the man they call the CEO: Stephen Elop.
We, all of us both Nokia fans, Nokia fan-to-be's, once-Nokia fans and Nokia haters alike, must rally and support Stephen Elop's ouster. Oust Elop! Develop Symbian, Harmattan, Meltemi and Meego! Improve our hardware and integrate Alien Dalvik! BB has, why can't Nokia? Burn Elop along with his so-called mythos, the "burning platform!" EXORCISE NOKIA! Out with Elop and his burning horde!

That is the Lumia. No aspect of it is genuine Nokia. It was not designed by Nokia's top designers from Finland. It was not manufactured in Nokia's world's most efficient and competent handset manufacturing factories. And it isn't even powered by Nokia components like the CPU (the engine). And we know the decorations are not genuine Nokia - the operating system and apps (the paint job). Rather than Nokia's own-designed mobile-optimised and smart OS platforms, Symbian and MeeGo, this fraudster uses an OS that was never designed to any degree by any Nokia programmers. And the production.. Get this. Nokia factories are the world's most modern and efficient, including the world's largest handset plant in China. They are now idling because Nokia sales have crashed. What does Elop do? He actually hired an outside company, Compal of Taiwan, to manufacture the Lumia smartphones! That is not a Nokia. Nothing about it is a Nokia, except that the CEO has the nerve to stick a Nokia badge on the phone and claim it is a genuine Nokia.

AnonD-49883, 11 Apr 2012no u r totally wrong in this discussion..nokia ly denied th... morethe only reason why nokia denied android is "elop" :)now nokia is stuck at developing hardware because MS restriction for its phone OS...wish nokia had join the android bandwagon, like to see thier design/hardware on android OS...but its thier decision and hope that they do good on MS OS...more OSes, more choices for the customer.
PS:to all! stop bashing nokia...if there is no company to compete with an oligopoly(iOS/android), there would be no development

Microsoft was known as the Evil Empire long before they announced the partnership with Nokia. Forget about Microsoft's bullying of its developers and partners and rivals, and the prolonged feuds with the regulators on both sides of the Atlantic. Just in wireless, Microsoft is the mobile death wish. Their very first strategic partner and launch customer for Microsoft's first smartphones, UK based Sendo was driven to bankruptcy after lengthy court cases with the Evil Empire. Motorola went from profitable to loss-making in its strategic partnership with Microsoft smartphones. Motorola was so disgusted it announced it would discontinue smartphones on Microsoft platforms which gained it a lawsuit to boot. LG's strategic partership with Microsoft bled the company profits into losses and LG ran to Android. HTC, Microsofts' longest-serving smartphone partner was so upset with Microsoft, it refused to support the final version of Windows Mobile and now strongly prioritizes Android. If you don't know the history of how devastating Microsoft has been to its 'strategic partners' in mobile, like the vampire, its bled them dry. Read Horace Dediu's review of In Memoriam: Microsoft's previous strategic partners.

Microsoft's
smartphone OS has been around for a decade
and it had steady growth until 2007 when it
reached 12% market share of smartphones and
held that till 2008. Microsoft's OS had briefly
taken over the second place ranking behind
Nokia's Symbian, after Palm's second place
and before Blackberry replaced it as second
biggest OS. Then from 2008, Windows Mobile
fell off a cliff. In 18 months their market share
fell by half to 6% and in another 18 months, fell
by another half. With the arrival of Windows
Phone 7, it was Microsoft themselves killing
Windows Mobile 6.x which in 2011 managed
only a 1% market share. Currently, Microsoft is
trying to replace it with Windows Phone 7
which had amassed a magnificently
unimpressive 1% market share for itself globally
for the first full year it was sold, when we
remove the other Microsoft Windows Mobile
smartphones, in 2011. The combined Microsoft
smartphone operating systems market shares,
together, for last year, was under 2%. As a side
note, Microsoft earns more from royalty rights
on Android phones than their whole Windows
Mobile division.

Sure, nokia was the king of smart phones way back when they had the N-series. But now? Lumia this and Lumia that are mere crap phones that can't match up with the elite phones of other companies. Accept it, nokia is going down the drain. They can't cope with new technology that's why they keep producing low-tech products nowadays

Here's a little trouble shooting tip/short-term resolution... If you have another LTE device on hand, throw that SIM from the Lumia into the other deviec, access the internet momentarily, then replaec the SIM in the Nokia...resolved.

Why don't you have cheese to go with your WHINE? Go to your forums and complain what's wrong with your products or tell them what's good with Nokia and probably they will COPY what technology Nokia has brought to their devices. Peace!

In some countries you pay big taxes straight from your income (50-65%), in others you pay less, but a higher tax on products you buy, such as a 25% sales tax.

I for one, am fed up of seeing fanboys troll posts. Samsung fans on Nokias pages and Nokia fans are just as bad on Samsung etc pages.
If you like WP7 then post and discuss if you like Android go on your forums and post, dont come on other slagging them off.
Props to Nokia for dealing with this so well, all phones encounter niggles at launch, cant say i've ever seen such swift action to resolve and such generocity to pay for 2 months+ line rental.
Good Job Nokia.
