Anonymous, 03 Jan 2020Regular Note 10 had no reason to exist. Maxes out at 256gb ... moreI don't consider the regular variants of high-end phones as flagship anymore. The Plus/+/Pro versions are the flagships nowadays. Remember back in the day it was just one flagship? No Lite, regular or Plus/+/Pro?

What? Galaxy S10e is VERY compact, in fact, it's one of the lost compact phones in the market.

Instead of bumping the previous flagship down a tier and continuing to sell it, they're killing the old model and releasing a cheaper version in its place.

It's an interesting experiment by Samsung to see whether people would buy a mixed mid range smartphone, if it had the Galaxy S and Note names. The Note lite even seems to have a mid range chipset. Hopefully, these have the Note and S Series camera qualities and we have less to whine about.
Were all camera specs disclosed or announced?

Arsani, 03 Jan 2020The iphone 8 was very different from iphone X. How is this ... moreyep u missed the point completely. the iPhone 8 followed the iPhone 7 which looked EXACTLY the same. the S10 Lite doesn't look like the S10 anyway, and on top of that it will look different to the upcoming S20 which will have way more features.

Do not want, 03 Jan 2020True, Samsung does release too many completely unnecessary ... moreAgree with you on topic of s10lite. S10 can be bought for same, or even lower price.
However, it is almost same device for the same price, so I am ok with it, although I wouldn't be buying it.
But Note10 lite, that one is not competitive.
If you need S pen, you will still be better yo buy Note 9 or just add that 100€ extra and buy regular Note, with much better SoC

You guys say it's pointless, but this will be my next phone. It seems like a worthy modern-day upgrade from my Note4, because of the S-Pen, 3.5mm, sd card, DeX, and One UI2. Only a few things though, only 1080p and I'm hoping for an IP rating.

Ryan, 03 Jan 2020You're right,Samsung is releasing too many devices, most of... moreRegular Note 10 had no reason to exist. Maxes out at 256gb with no microsd slot while the bigger one maxes out at 512gb with a card slot.
I also feel like the 3.5mm jack in the lite version was put in here to associate its image as a feature for budget handsets.
So they could keep pushing wireless stuff for the premium sets.

Ryan, 03 Jan 2020You're right,Samsung is releasing too many devices, most of... moreTrue, Samsung does release too many completely unnecessary devices.
The S10 Lite is massively unattractive. You won't get very good photos with that dim f/2.0 lens, even OIS won't be helping much there. Only lame colours and no red or pink means lame shell with lame contents.
Add to that a rip-off price of 649€, and it will swim like a brick. You can get the regular S10 for 600€ already, *new*, here in Germany.
It's not quite as bad with the Note 10 Lite. It still has a f/1.7 camera, and at 599€, it's 100€ below the lowest price for a regular Note 10. Plus, it's available in a nice red.
Still a little pricey though, if you see what you can get from the competition for 599€.
