Let's say you step on it will it escape from your steps? I see many children play the block toys and left it on the floor and this would be a hinder for elder parent, so a terrific sensors must have otherwise it must be terrible for elders.

Lola, 08 Jan 2020At least they always innovate. Unlike s*ny's mobile divisionCan you tell me is it the Ballie come with 360° detection sensor, can it respond as soon as possible if people step on it unawareness? The view of the Ballie only can look up because it eye level is on floor, so even a chair or table can hinder it vision that means it should reposition more often to capture the scene.

The video cuts off just before Ballie fully realizes sentience and blows up the apartment building, by turning on the gas in the oven and then, once the apartment is full of methane, lighting the burners. The dog, however, survivies, because Ballie lets it run away first. Ballie is not without values.

Similar to your post which he/she replied to, where you asked if Samsung is putting Sony's Aibo into the shape of a ball.

I have to agree, Ballie does seem like a Rolly upgraded with Aibo internals.

Ballie seems like a fun concept, but it is a bit small so I think it would get stuck and/or lost fairly frequently.

They should make it jump around like the AI companion in Gundam series.

They have the chance to name it Ball-E

They should have some balls and call it Wilson ;D

Looks like a young people new toys, for elder/old people has some hazard /dangerous, to have a small ball run around the living room they have to aware where is the ball and don't fall down by this AI helper. It should have at least 360° (atmosphere sensor is better) of viewing detection to respond/escape from any hazard, this why the most of the AI helper stand on the table to interact with all kinds of user but not run around like R2-D2.

Is Samsung trying to copy Sony making an AI robot in shape of ball instead of an AI Robot Dog??

I really need a creepy ball with cameras that follows me around watching whatever I do, because I'm so lazy I can't even bother to open curtains or turn on the washing machine and so I have to do Yoga to keep fit.

Sort of ball shaped ai maid. It also sound like wall-e, could work with some regional accent though, ingenious.
