                  nice.

Well I will point out 2 features here that are relevant to both rugged and standard phones: The removable battery is interesting - makes perfect sense for an enterprise use case but it's also an option many would like to have on the non-rugged models. Also the 4GB memory is a little light for the display size - adequate for now given this handset isn't meant for gamers, but maybe not future proof...

Mik, 08 Jan 2020Why punch hole when there's bezel?Probably because it's a standard LCD screen - similar screen is used in the Honor 20 among others. Why make another different screen for what is going to be a low sales device, when there's already a LCD available with a punch-hole?

That being said, I don't put too much stock into this being the only option after long and careful development. They still have a button and probably a headphone jack up in there, it is not just bumper plastic. And they could have made it a mm taller if space really was a premium - the phone is still pretty compact for a rugged device. And a screen with a hole cam is likely less robust than one without it.

I think it is far more likely that Samsung considers hole cams to be part of their current Galaxy look, so all of them have to have it, and/or they happened to have cheap access to this particular screen and built the phone around it.

I'm sure people at Samsung had tried many options before went with this design.
