Do you have to pay for apps on the Apple's store?
In the early days of Android, I paid for PDF & Office apps.
Now, I just use free apps from Google's store & put up with the ads.
For developers I think this is better as their revenues are continuous stream.

And it's believed that's the reason they changed their reporting of giving the revenue from each sector because the iPhone sales were falling and that could have affected the share performance. Anyway, believe what you want.
By the way, I admire their marketing prowess, they are able to market their products better than any company, that's really good business.

Without the hardware itself, where do you think you will install the software? It's not like you can install Apple software on any other device. Therefore, without selling hardware, Apple would go down because you can not buy the software and use it on another hardware like other companies say Microsoft. Don't be blinded by the numbers, and yes, software may be bringing in more money but the company relies heavily on them selling or customers using their hardware first. I hope you get the logic.

Apple devices are designed (check the resell price of an iPhone 10 compared to a Galaxy s8, same released year or any comparison) for years of use, even the old-gen iPhones, that is over 6-years-old, still gets frequent updates to this day.
Consumers love or hate for Apple comes with the business, but REAL numbers do not lie, and overall quality, customer service, security, reliability, value, integrity, innovation and commitment brings the loyalists to be the MOST respect to this commodity.

You should remember that most of the Apple services are only available on the Apple devices, therefore, the company can not generate money without selling their devices as well. In other words words, the revenue from services depend on the sales of hardware.

And Apple are geniuses b... moreyeah android represents freedom to pirate paid apps. app store is just a medium where developers sell their goods, of course in a physical store you have to pay rent for the space in which you will sell your items, in this case the developers are paying a fee to apple to sell their apps to customers. nothing in this world is free.

The game's Customer Service team asked me to contact Google Play support. I did what was asked, but I waited for a month and never got the refund! Luckily I only lost $2, which was meaningless. GPlay also have apps which seem to violate T&Cs in their store, they aren't even reviewed. Thanks Apple Store and Apkpure!

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2020Because android users just talking about numbers - processo... moreNah...My Note FE (Exynos 8920) which I owned since it was released until mid last year doesn't perform well. It is quite laggy for some reason, takes a long time to load apps, and for graphics intensive games it throttles almost instantly and stutters and heats up. I didn't have a lot of apps in that phone. Switched to the S10e Exynos later and regrettted it. While it is a faster handset, it isn't a very fluid phone, and they couldn't fix the thermal throttling.
Picked up the iPhone 11 and never had issues since except so-so connectivity. I also have a X2 Pro for gaming and it doesn't heat up that quick in such games. Oh Shamsung...

It is also truly a rubbish phone. The Realme X2 Pro is much better, hence the reason I picked up one. I also have an iPhone as my main driver.

But anyway, developers also care about their business strategies.
