It promises improved refresh rates, but is keeping specifics under wraps for now.

I had seen the 'Dasung not e-reader'. Yeah, it's name like that. The refresh rate is really good. Hisense probably figured it out.

Kind of pointless, because microLED will be here in about 3 years time.

If it it have 100% sRGB and at least 30hz, it would be awesome.
It could have 3 times the battery life of lcd.

Wow, imagine drawing on a full color e-ink with 90/120ghz.

Anonymous, 09 Jan 2020If they offer chat programs, still image social media and b... moreThat is all i require...low cost, long battery, chat, phone call, a payment app ....i am done with browzing...

This is not a smartphone. It's more like an e-book, which also allows to do light web browsing and make/receive calls.

You won't be able to watch videos with it. You want be able to even scroll though Instagram with it. Anything that involves fast refreshing will fail (even using the app drawer won't be a pleasant experience). Also pixel density will be quite low.

At the same time it must have an enormous battery life if it's done right. I'm definitely interested.

If they offer chat programs, still image social media and browsing im sure eink phones will be awsome for 20+ days battery life? You got a tablet for anything else...its innovation I like to see

Probably the battery life on that e ink device should be amazing. I had a Sony e reader and the battery could last for weeks with regular use.

Anonymous, 09 Jan 2020Everyone else: 90Hz screens Hisense: 0.9Hz screensAha! But the battery savings would be sweet
