DuckDuckGo is the most popular alt search engine among Android users in the EU

Bing, meanwhile, did very poorly or maybe Microsoft didn't want to spend much money in the auction.

Carol, 10 Jan 2020They do not need to, ever read their business model? Or you... moreYou are writing ridiculous things man. At first Google or Alphabet is not a user friendly or solemnly search engine company. It is an advertisement company. In simple words, they earn money by selling your data(including your IP in most cases). Secondly, Googles marketing is different. Also if you hack into googles database, you can see that data collected is of the format user details-devices ip-history(in short). In simple terms, its algorithms work not by analysing your search words like duckduckgo (which uses the keyword typed to find advertisements based on it rather than predicting your gender or caste or location or whatsoever to market a product). And google has an history of selling your data to third party advertisers. So Google is an elephant with foxes brain and lambs face.

First things first, when did ever this companies declared they are protecting your privacy? When did google ever claimed they will never collect data? Now, Google collects your data and not only that, it is actually doing it in a legal way and with your acceptance, ever read user agreament? Probably not. Try to do it some times... What they were cought doing, is a whole lot of other thing that was not ortodox to start with. As for duckduckgo, well they declare high and proud they don't collect Data, so they better do it cause they are more monitored then google in this regard, because of the Elephant in the room. They operate more then 10 years now,so am pretty sure they won't be cought soon doing the nasty, because they do not have too,as i have already said. Their aproach to business is other then Googles... as for small indian businesses, are you for real? Ddg is used everywhere in this world not in a small local city in whatever country, as for corruption in that country, i do not know, but in europe ddg won't get away easy, so scrap that out of the head. In fact in europe they will get such a fine, they will go bankrupt in days, so am pretty sure they won't risk to do false claims in the whole world. Now, either you never read what ddg claims (and not only claims, they actually inform people how thier privacy is used, and teach people how to protect themselves and their data)or you are plain simple not accepting the world is not quite as you see it and not everybody is intersted in your selfies. As i was saying, first study before talking, useless chapping, ain't helping you go further.

Carol, 11 Jan 2020You can't lie 7 billion people while beeing out in the open... moreHave you seen reports of small smartphone brands like Gionee and Infinix collecting data? No. Does it mean they don't collect data? No. Its just as I said smaller ones get away with dirty work and its not just search engines or smartphones makers you should visit South Asian countries like India Pakistan and Bangladesh there are many small companies which violate many laws but usually get away but if a bigger company does the same thing it becomes a big issue or sometimes bigger company's influence media amd suppress the news same goes with search engines hackers are more interested in Google because of its large user data and also because Google pays them to find exploits while there DDG with smaller data doesn't attract majority. Take another example you are a thief will you break into a big mansion with with tons of cash or a poor mans house? Obviously the mansion and if you break in and get away there might be a news on media about the robbery but if you break in the poor man house there will bo no news so hopefully you understand

Google is way bigger then duckduckgo and has more experience, they still got cought doing baaad stuff. So let me guess, Till today nobody found duckduckgo to be a lie, yet it is because you say so? As i was saying, inform yourself.

Not... moreWow, you clearly have no idea how internet works, better don't tell anyone such stupidity again. Google has no access to routers, and routers have no logging (at least not the ones that are allready loaded with internet traffic comming from all over. But let's say ftheir are firewalls that log data to some extinct, tell me what company would ever allow google to look into their firewall? Just asking. Google might own a bit of network in the world wide web but they stillc an't decrypt the traffic, that would be hacking and would take thousend of years and well is punished with prison, in USA, it means BIG time. But let's say google set some Router with loggin capability (hitting hard in the hardware by the trafgic internet this days endures) why would they implement such routers to log data and then to try to break into ssl encyption just to know what site you have visited? You ain't that important, and at the end you have already given your data by your self, so why would they even struggle? The Subject is huge, i could talk for hours and still be at the biggining of it so do some research before throwing random words.

Or you just decided to talk so, not to shut up?. Google also does not need to "keep" your data, it feed out of it, that does not mean it needs to keep it for life....
