DuckDuckGo is the most popular alt search engine among Android users in the EU

Bing, meanwhile, did very poorly or maybe Microsoft didn't want to spend much money in the auction.

Yes i using DDG for my samsung browser.i think good and have many site to open with DDG...good 👍👍

AnonD-907885, 09 Jan 2020Bing is decent. Gets hate for no reason tbh.Bing's performance varies a lot by country/region. If only they offered US-level performance worldwide, all would be good.

Anonymous, 09 Jan 2020That's becouse they think is very good with protecting data... moreDuckduckgo has nothing to do with google, so, in reality, try to research before speak. There was a time when google sabotaged duckduckgo (they still do for all search engines) and created domain duck something that would have fowarding the user back to google engine, thus confusing and cheating on the user. Those times are long gone.

LG Superfan, 10 Jan 2020People really think DuckDuckGo does not keep their data? I don't recall reading any news whatsoever about DDG collecting user data, not even one.

I'm surprised Startpage is not on the list. Startpage is to Google Search what LineageOS is to Android - an everyday Google product reworked for total privacy.

People really think DuckDuckGo does not keep their data?

I don't want Google to spy on me all the time. So, on my Windows 10 laptop, I use Mozilla Firefox with DuckDuckGo as default search engine and on my Android mobile phone, I use DuckDuckGo mobile browser. I don't use Google Chrome browser or Google search engine anywhere.

I also try to use DuckDuckGo recently on my Oppo phone. For Opera Browser I set DuckDuckGo, Oppo browser also the same.

In the light of my last comment, they also say clearly that Google will be a choice in all country's. Please learn to read.

I use duckduckgo for all my Android phones, Windows, Mac PCs and laptops. I'm not even in EU. It's so good to see that whatever you searched for were not being slammed at your face as an advertisement on all your devices.

I can’t help but feel DuckDuckGo is largely popular because there’s quite a few apps intended for older people (who wouldn’t understand/don’t care to revert) who by accepting this or that have it changed over and that’s that? On Android that is. I know my Nan has installed many silly games and ended up with a lot of other bells and whistles but goes along with it.
