You can look, i thin even now price is similar, just look for customs in you country

The screen is really good, bright, cood colors for IPS, battery life is more than good, cameras, well, so-so, back camera is good (with Gcam even bettrer in low lights), but front camera is just ok.

        Both have been available for around 150$/170$ respectively for months now. You can go to Aliexpress can get a similar price any day of the week - better yet, for 150$ on Ali you get a 4GB/64GB version and you can choose any color you want.

Also build quality wise there is difference. Otherwise pretty similar phone. Though I would buy Redmi Note 7 Pro any day any time. Same price in my country. I wish successor to Snapdragon 675 comes soon. I don't know why qualcomm hasn't released yet. India needs 4G specific qualcomm chipsets for another one and half year before switching to 5G. No need of 765G yet. I am sure Redmi Note 9 will use snapdragon 712 and Redmi Note 9 Pro will use snapdragon 730G/765.

By now price sound be 120$ max, also Note 8 at least have way smaller frame, chin, and top bezell, comparet to Note 8T.
