Bought an iPhone 7, got terrible backlight bleed. Claimed the warranty and got the screen replaced with one that had the same issue.
Bought a Note 9 (1 year after release) and the display wasnt attached properly. The glue wasn't applied properly and you could hear it stick with little pressure. You can look this issue up, it's pretty common.
Imported a Redmi Note 4 from China, perfect build quality.
Bought a Redmi Note 5, perfect build quality.
Bought a Redmi Note 8, perfect build quality.
So, in my experience flagships don't come with better build quality, not by a long shot.

Y... more1. Ads can be turned off right from the start
2. MIUI 11 is quite nice actually. And btw, Samsung flagships are bloated aswell (had an S7, S8, Note 9).
3. Frame plastic, front and back glass. Couldn't care less about materials
4. Flagships can do a couple of things that I don't give a crap about. Nobody is utilizing their phones power anyways. If you are serious about gaming, you build a gaming PC with the money.
5. It doesn't always have to be the most expensive device just because you have money. I'm spending the rest on my PC and guess what, you can properly game on a PC for the price of an iPhone.

Using MTK chips do reduce costs and it is actually quite a good SoC, despite battery consumption.
If you want a better handset, you must spend more instead of complaining a handset must be Sd730G for this price bla bla

Could have bought an S10+, a Note 10 / Plus, a OnePlus 7 / T / Pro or an iPhone 11 / Pro / Max, but instead I bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 because it has all I need. I guess I'm poor, just because I didn't spend 700-1500 bucks for a phone, even though I have the money...

The 11 Pro Max is popular lol. Since it’s rollout it didn’t leave the top 15 and that’s amazing for a flagship.
