One of the things, aside from the dual screen, that will make the Neo & Duo unique is the Surface Pen. Windows developers will be taking advantage of this, because the development platforms for Windows (such as UWP) have lots of built-in capabilities that make it easy to do both these things, so the Neo will have apps quickly optimized to use them. Android, on the other hand, does not, and therefore will take much longer to take advantage of them. And as a UWP developer that is being forced to learn Android, I will state that there is much more and better documentation for writing Windows apps than there is for Android. If Microsoft would make a version of the Duo that used Windows 10X, it would have much better and more optimized apps than they will for Android.

Where is that Pixel 3/LG G5/Essential PH-1 Android 10 hating, privacy conscious Kingslayer? I bet he'll get wet from this.

At the moment, it's not so much the hardware that needs improved, it's the software. We have hardware & devices that are good enough to handle pretty much anything we should want to do on our phones (if you're try to completely replace your laptop or tablet with a phone, that's a major sign that you spend too much time on your phone), we need a device that has a good easy to use interface & OS. And those exist, it's been proven by Microsoft with Windows 10X, in fact, even the Windows Phone OS had a better interface than Android & iOS. And as a developer, the apps are much easier to write, and all of my friends (including the ones that are not developers) have said they liked the Windows Phone UI better than Android or iOS. It's like TV: You can make the remote and screen as fancy or high resolution as you want, but there comes a point where the content is what needs to be improved.

Microsoft have already announced it is out of the mobile business and has told people to either go to Android or Apple

Either this is an Android or Ios
        Until it comes
The app store for Windows phone 8 is closed
Windows phone 10 is receding fast
Being a previous Windows phone owner, I suspect that neither is the case. This will be a laptop using the latest Windows OS with a phone built in

AnonD-731363, 11 Jan 2020Well even it looks interesting nowdays everybody just copy ... moreYep everyone copying little bits and pieces off one another now, tbh I find the smartphone business rather boring nowadays.

Stondec100, 11 Jan 2020Yes, Apple most certainly is a copycat. There's very little... more10 years of mobile inovation and we still have comments like this? What is wrong with you to?
Both apple and all android OEM's are stealing from each other, and some of them are not inventing but rather coping and perfecting some features witch were not so usable on another devices. That is how every competitive market works. Cars, home appliances, tv's, pc, gaming consoles....you name it.
If you are making your purchases judging by witch OEM's invented the features you are looking for than you gonna end up 90% with the worst implementation of that feature. So pleace start using your logic and spare the others from unnecessary nonsense.sorry but these brocken tape type comments are getting on others nerves you know.

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2020NOT REALLY...its the android oems from China who are notori... moreYes, Apple most certainly is a copycat. There's very little that's actually original from Apple, even the notch was copied by Apple from the essential phone.

I need more affordable 2 in 1 laptops with decent processors. Please MicroSoft partner with more companies to launch 2 in 1 laptops which can be used as both a tablet and a laptop in the budget segment especially for the Indian market. Because these days the 2 in 1 available in the market are outdated.

Well even it looks interesting nowdays everybody just copy and paste.
Just look at the apple company the king of copy/paste things.

Definitely rooting dual screen laptop-tablet instead of one with massive foldable screen. Sorry, Lenovo.

soon the Chinese will duplicate it. So no need to patent it Microsoft. There is no law or justice in China. It's jungle law haha.
