AnonD-50610, 16 Apr 2012Would you guys please stop bitchin´ about the battery... moreOn S2 with GB, stock KI8, with the official 2000 mAh battery made by Samsung for S2, I can stream HD Adobe Flash movies with screen on for 4.5 hours, so your 1 hour music plus 2 hour screen on does not impress at all!

Still stuck with my sweet one-year-and-a-half-old Wave S8500 and I have to literally batter it to drain the battery.Sometimes less is more.Hey,It is less glorious than the mighty One X but a full-day of very heavy usage is always guaranteed!

If you want a phone with a battery that last longer than a day, go back to your nokia 3315... You're asking for a bit too much after having a 4.7" HD screen and a 1.5Ghz quad core CPU... Times have changed, people carry around extended battery packs and chargers now, why dont you do the same.

I have been using the One X for the past two weeks before I was using SII.The battery of one X pretty much better than SII. With BT, WiFi and 3G switched on all day I will have at least 50% reamaining battery at the end of the day with one x but with SII I am 90% depleted.I use my phone heavily during work to access corporate e-mail which always in push mode.
I realy don't understand all the complaints about the battery issue with one X. It is a perfect device.

When i first purchased this htc product i first found the phone to drain the juice very fast .installed cpu graph apk and realized most of the time 4 cores firing at 1400mhz-1000mhz are active which drained the phone and battery sucked. Understanding this issue i just switched on the developer option on phone to kill background processes and keep only one alive at a time and wow thats it companion core started showing up that is 104mhz to 360 mhz on idle. Please try this option on your phone this will definitely increase the battery life

as of next year we should start seeing seeing transistors (well, we see them, unless you're superman) at 28nm scale transistors... on ARM processors making them more efficient than what we have now... I just wish i had a time machine lol.

After 1 hour of sitting on the charger you are lucky to see 37%. You need a good 3 hours minimum to charge this phone. Phone pretty much takes 50-60% the time to charge of what you could use it for. If you need a phone that you use often during the day time then you are screwed as you can not change the battery and they stuck in a cheap and thin battery.

The dummies at HTC, people who buy Smartphones use their phones quite often and when you have a Smartphone with a huge screen, along with 3G/wifi and quad core processor with Tegra 3 you know your customers are going to need the extra juice!! So why on earth were you so cheap to throw in a thin battery that can not be replaced? Either throw in a proper sized battery or allow end users the option of being able to buy a spare battery if they need extra usage!!

If I don't get an android device that match iphone battery life times then i'm getting an iphone or waiting it out for another year.

battery life will change when intel get their fingers out of their butts and get a nice deal going with a couple of the major smart phone manufacturers..

You'll get a nice blend of old style battery life from early to mid 2000's but with the power of something you'd expect to see in a phone of today...

but on a side note it does seem a bit of a shame that the one x was not given a better battery...

Are you kidding me? It saves 10% of what? That means the power management does not work at all until now or it works but only drains the battery. When i move the file to different location, how the OS will know it is there? Stupid stupid stupid. They can not build one decent phone after desire but they build too many now.

This is what I don't like 'bout non-user replaceable battery. However good the phone were, it's a no-no for me.
Unless HTC did what Motorola done with their Razr Maxx, putting a 3000+ mAh battery.

I've gone from an iPhone 3GS to the HTC One X and I have to say that I'm amazed by the battery life. Sure, this is my first week with the phone and I like to play and whatnot with it so I have to charge it every night, but I can tell that if I don't play with it and just use it rationally, the battery life is good considering the power that the processor and the chipsets need and uses. Therefore, and also since I've never tried altering anything manually in a smartphone's system, I'm passing on this "fix".
