Why can't we ever have "headphone jack, expandable memory, screen with no holes, and LTE bands for everywhere on Earth" as the hot feature? You could even have a "Pro" model with a replaceable battery.

The display does not come from Samsung. All special-purpose OLED panels now used by Chinese smartphone-makers are from Chinese display makers. Only some of the more generic ones may be sourced from Samsung. In the field of special-purpose OLED panels, Chinese display makers are ahead of Samsung.

Blech, these high refresh rate screens eat battery life. Android Authority did a test on the OnePlus 7 Pro and found the 90Hz rate reduced battery life by by 28%. Nearly a third of your battery life! That's just dumb.

Sure maybe OnePlus will break even on battery life, because the next chipset is more efficient, etc., blah, blah. But if phone companies didn't keep chasing the ridiculous screen pixel density race and now the refresh rate arms race, think of what assume battery life we'd have instead.

I'm no fan of Apple, but this is how they manage to have better battery life than everyone, but not obsessing about screen resolution, etc.

OnePlus, has always been a company that is largely about gimmicks thoug. Yeah, they make nice phones, but they are also full of so much marketing hype hot air and gimmicks too, I just get tired of them. Its' a shame, they could be so much more.

Is this the panel used in last Gen note or the upcoming S? If OnePlus had to add several customising to the display, then i think the panel might be from last Gen and only the 8T will feature the panel used in S20.
