Bose closes its physical stores in the US, EU, Japan, and Australia

Bose’s increase in online and e-commerce sales has justified the company’s decision.

Never better than Sony. Also never chepear. For its crap name I will never buy!

Bose is not doing well in the audiophile communities.
Bose is not doing well in the true wireless earbuds communities.
Bose is not doing well in the budget headphones communities.
Bose is going in the way of the Dodo.

most people do not go to one brand store, we all like to go to stores where they almost have every brand names so we can compare each to other and make a decision, that is why we see big stores are trying to make theirs as one stop shopping for every items we need, those who buy or chose Bose will always order them at Best Buy or Online, so Bose stores are not a destination, which is why most of the ones I have seen are inside a shopping center for exposure purpose, where maybe some will check them out. I have been in few of them just for curiosity and even their own supplies is very limited, and most times than not are always empty. And remember men who are the target are not shoppers, women are and they will not purposely go to a Bose store.

talkers … talk a lot … trying to convince people a bout something but … not even use what they call bad or mediocre...
so them which is decent audio brand and which is a good clothing brand to begin with

I used to work at Best Buy and we were advised to never lower Bose prices or we would risk losing Bose's business.

Bose is a greedy a-hole company that is driven by profit more than anything else.

Good for people who buy Samsonite, Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, etc. (cheapest 'high quality' products out there.

People today prefer to buy things online, right down to everyday groceries. Little wonders to see physical stores are not getting a lot of customers.

First, came Sony with its leading ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) algorithm, which made Bose suffer: on its market share, and on its prestige as the best ANC headphones. Now, Sony is - and even added customization (which Bose never did, with quality).
Second, a firmware update which ruined the ANC on their headphones; right before the launch of its new pair of headphones. Funny, how that was synchronized.
Third, Apple launched the AirPods Pro, with a very good ANC - while being lighter, smaller, and cheaper
Adding to this, multiple OEMs are selling ANC headphones, earphones, and TWS to the public.
Bose will fail. Fail hard. Because it was living in their pedestal, and stopped caring about the consumer. It was always about the profit - except for its founder, in the early beginning.

Smart. Because who needs to actually listen to audio equipment before buying?

Shame though, Bose is a pretty good audio product brand (but of course, Bang & Olufsen is still no.1).
