Seems like our expectations are over the roof.
Poco f1 was a head Turner. But in my opinion, xiaomi took the move for a business profit rather than thinking about users.
The price of the redmi series increased from the last generations and so will be in this case.
Let's hope, poco comes up with a decent offering so existing and new users stay happy.

As a happy, proud and satisfied Poco F1 owner I wellcome this move.
Hope now updates and upgrades will be more often.
Also I hope new such good powerful devices will be relased in budget or affordable price range.
I am happy that Xiaomi did this like Huawei did with honor brand.
In here e.g. India people are more aware of Honor devices which are value for money then the Huawei brand.

It could also be to do with politics in China - For a number of reasons most Very rich Chinese have learned not to put all their financial and ownership eggs in one basket. That way if you're "volunteered" to donate your company and it's assets to the Chinese State, another part continues to live on.
