Humanity has wiped out more than half the wildlife population and some of them at the verge of extinct. Still we haven't given up on oil. In some years, you'll see USA and Russia will on war for oil in Arctic Circle.

Here is Slovakkia we get 5G maybe 5 years ago from now so even after 2 years i dont plan to buy a 5G phone.
This country is a one centaury behinf everything else.
And out greedy government will let it this way for the sake of more robbery on a basic people.
Among all 198 countries in the world we are at 164th place as a country with most robbery from government. Our politics tooks from everybody and everyone and keeps for themselves.
In other words in countries like China, Korea etc they cut heads of traitors and here we VOTE THEM.

Yes, but not because of 5G, the 5G SD SOCs are badass this year, 5G is the least interesting thing about them, their GPUs are vastly improved, the imaging chip can be 4x as powerful in certain tasks, etc. There's an overall jump in efficiency and performance, on paper.

5G is announced on my country lately. It will most likely be ready this year, so I may get a 5G phone.

Soon or later all we'll switch to 5G. But since it is not available and won't be soon in Bulgaria, there is no sense to pay extra for a feature we won't use next 5 years.
And I still don't get the advantages of the 5g networks. Instead of the promising words of ultra mega HD +++ streaming services (on mobile devices screens) maybe this is the easiest option for carriers to rise the prices, since the 5g plans probably will be with unlimited data, but at ridiculous fees.

While there are some areas in the US that have established 5G coverage, my area unfortunately does not yet have adequate 5G network. I don't see the benefit of paying for something I cannot use unless I travel to those established 5G areas. Currently I can get a lot done just on LTE and don't stream everywhere I go and more than half of my day I am on a WiFi network anyway.
Now if 5G coverage becomes available everywhere LTE is currently, and my cheap-o phone provider offers 5G for the same rate (or close to it), then I would get a 5G phone to benefit from the service. I guess it would be a nice luxury to be able to watch 4k videos and listen to streaming flac audio files all the time anywhere you go.

For me to be looking at a 5G phone it would need a large battery. Like 6-8000 milliamp size if not bigger. The early modems are always power hogs, and 5G is no different.
