AFAIK, mostly games will have trouble with this type of CPU.
99% of apps won't be affected.
Explanation:
If there is a .so (object file) file in .apk (.zip) then this app/game won't work.

rocky, 18 Apr 2012On the downside, this gonna add some more fragmentation on ... moreuntil Windows abandons all current 7.5 devices making them obsolete in 6 months time when they can't get Apollo, fragmentation my backside. I can still download apps and games from the Playstore and adapt to that particular programme on ICS even though it was intended for Gingerbread 2.3.5 and vice versa.

Good thing that Intel is doing something about mobile chipsets. But they probably chose a wrong brand to partner up with. Not that lava is bad or anything but except Lava and probably Lenovo they should also have partnered with bigger brands such as HTC(brands who do not manufacture their own chipsets like Samsung). Now they are gonna have a slower starting sales. Waiting eagerly for benchmarks!!

Love Intel, not too familiar with Lava though I'm highly interested in this device. Can't wait for the beginning of May so I can see what Intel has been cooking up with Samsung in Tizen. Come on Intel!

[deleted post]It's good to be proud :) but here I don't see anything to be proud about. Intel has chosen an Indian company/market to test it's first batch of processors...kind of guinea pig!

At last Lava? Very few will care even in India!
At least Intel would go for Micromax which have some real market in mobile industry. Leave alone LG,Samsung,Sony!

On the downside, this gonna add some more fragmentation on android. Next thing you knoww we gonna have really powerful hardware spec but no powerful software to play around with.
Then would be the right time to jump to WP (or back to iOS)

about time! but still a long way to go...

When MS gives the green light to other manufactures, we have go for lift off, since most people will say but it don't have dual core let alone quad, fair enough it wont be as powerful as what we have now, but that will change.

But, the number 1 question a 1.6ghz core CPU with very advanced power management and some nifty little tricks from Intel, I think this phone will just give them enough feed back to go mainstream. I want one and because it's not ARM just what else can be *done* :D grins.

The specs are good but based on resolution and processor it's highly doubtful that this would support many apps but surely it won't beat Samsung or anything and i7 on a smartphone would be a suicide
