OnePlus 8 Pro 120Hz setting screen leaks with punch-hole selfie camera

20 January 2020
The upcoming OnePlus device will be able to switch between 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz, but will there be other limitations?

I agree! Punch holes are a serious step backwards! Pop up is way better until they get under screen cameras perfected.

Yronk, 21 Jan 2020Punch hole on the top middle is the right positioning No Broken screen is THE right way. No punch hole, no year drop, nothing that disrupt the screen.

Truly a step backwards going from the pop-up camera to the punchhole, the notchless display was what set the 7 pro apart

This is 2020. No one wants a notch, punchhole or pop up cameras. Under screen camera or no buy. And the one reason the OP7 Pro sold so good was no visible front camera.

Tiggerlator, 21 Jan 2020120hz on a phone is pointless. it is just a gimmick for one+. Well some of us spend more than 8 minutes a day texting our granny on our phone -_-

Giving the option of 90hz is fantastic. Enhanced visual fluidity but nothing too overkill in case you want to save some battery.

Anonymous, 21 Jan 2020Anything over 75 Hz is a gimmick. That includes monitors and TVs.Lol no it's not. If I'm pulling above 75 then I damn well want to see above 75. This is coming from someone who has a 75hz monitor and has experienced 120hz before.

[deleted post]On games and movies it is extremely important. On non gaming devices it is a gimmick indeed.

Phone companies are shovelling useless stuff to us. It has not occurred on them to think that the no1 reason people come to hate their phones is having to charge twice a day and the ever decreasing performance. Both happening due to the aging effect on batteries.

Or rather they did thing of it and said f@#k them, we'd continue shovelling useless stuff to them as long as we keep them thinking that their phone becoming useless in 2 years was an accident and not precisely what we programmed for it to do (by sealing the battery so very deeply than nobody can reach it without destroying the structural integrity of the device)...
