How about they move the chin up top to remove the notch... nevermind just remove the chin and the selfie camera.

        Android 9, seriously LG??

Love the Community, 22 Jan 2020"LG promised to turn its mobile division's fortunes around"... moreNo, they don't. Samsung best selling phones in 2019 were their "A" mid-range to low-end lineup. Also Apple best selling phone, was iphone XR, a "mid-range" phone for Apple.

Apple did so good with their premium prices, because they were the first to implement such things in a phone. When first iphone was released, it was like nothing people seen before. It clicked exactly the right things in human minds. And they took advantage of that success increasing the pricing year after year.

If a new phone company would appear now in 2020 and charge the prices Apple is charging for their phones, they will go bankrupt in a year.

So yeah, flagship phones are selling, but are selling just to a small amount of people. And already, people buying flagship devices are sticking with Samsung or Apple. Nobody will pay 1000$+ for a Sony or LG phone out of the blue.

If LG or Sony want to make it again in the smartphone industry, they need to bring new ideas to the market or at least low prices to their phones.

Take Huawei or One Plus as an example. How they rise so quickly? By bringing flagship technology at lower prices. Now, of course they established themselves, and they are pushing prices higher and higher. First One Plus phone was costing 300$, now a One Plus phone costs 750$.

Love the Community, 22 Jan 2020"LG promised to turn its mobile division's fortunes around"... moreMaybe they can compete with the Samsung A series.

Well, I can't say that they look bad. Let's hope price and hardware is on point.

"LG promised to turn its mobile division's fortunes around"

But not like that! Flagships sell more than low to mid range smartphones. Look at Apple, they profit much from Flagship phones alone and they don't make and sell low to midrange phones, just rebadged from past FLAGSHIPS.
