Even SE's Xperia Arc with 1.4Ghz single core CPU, 512MB RAM and a mere 350 MB of internal storage costs 25k. The price will come down in months to come but suggesting a 14k price range is insane. Think before you post!

if i am right lava brought a InPlane switching screen in their phones some 1-1.5 years back so i guess they have the knowledge and eagerness to work on such projects BUT

Lava is an Indian Company but is a very small player in Indian Market and Non-existent in smartphones So a Price tag of 22k is way too over priced for something that doesnt come with ICS and is single Core.Price shudve been 15k-19k to compete with OneX and other single core high performance phones.

Few ppl see beyond Nokia and Sammy or Sony in India when it comes to Smartphones , Hell I Have an LG Optimus 2x(Beast :D) and i am yet to come across someone with the same phone.
Only person who would be interested to buy this in 22k price would be a Hardcore Techie with enough money just to try it out and he would also be dettered by the issue of application incompatibility for such new Hw

Reading through comments and not heard of Lava brand but for Intel to choose it it must be trustworthy..India is getting this "First type of phone in the world", first which means we are relying on you Indians to bring us all the gosssip and updates.

Suraj, 19 Apr 2012Lava has no good support in india...and its nothing infront... moreit doesn't have to beat HTC one x... Doesn't belong to that league besides one x will surely be priced between 35-39k .
It will be competing with one v or may be one s.. There considering the pricing it sure stands a chance...

I think this handset deserve a review by gsmarena... If not cos LAVA, then cos of involvement of Intel in it and being first phone with this kind of processor...

It's a good initiative for lava, but price tag is more than expectation as the processor is only single core while dual core configuration are available with this price in market.

Lava is a popular brand only in the lower price band, around 6K. And for this particular set, it has to prove itself against Galaxy S2 for Image Quality, Camera Performance, Hardware Capability and especially Battery Life. It should have been launched with ICS and at a price tag between 12K - 14K. Poor pricing policy. And no advertisement it seems.
