No. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip can not... but the Motorola Razr can.

I'd much rather a folding phone that unfolded into a tablet, but galaxy fold is way to expensive. When is xiaomi launching one?

[x] No, I'm perfectly fine with a rigid slab and don't see the benefit of a foldable smartphone.
A foldable (of better even: rollable) tablet makes a lot more sense than a smartphone imo.

I'll consider this if this phone have foldable glass, there's no way I would spend that much money for plastic screen

Will have to see how durable it is. The Fold's hinges are surprisingly tough but the screen. By the way, SoC choice may seem important, but I think flip phones are not meant for gaming but only daily usage. Hope such phones last for at least 3 years of daily usage without repairs.

Andrew Thompson, 26 Jan 2020I remember those days when cheapest laptops were 3000+$,sim... moreSammy's foldable screen tech was stolen way before the Fold's release so you won't wait long.

No, the screen is still long and narrow, like on ordinary phones. I think foldables are great when they give you the opportunity to unfold to a large screen with more even proportions, so that you can easily read stuff on them

If it has 3.5mm headphone jack, a pen and a sdcard slot, then hell yes!
If not, then HARD PASS.

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2020flip phones is a joke.. i dont see any use for it.Essentially, giant screen ratio while fitting perfectly in your pocket. Do I care for it? No, but it is nice to be able to fit an Xperia 1-like phone easier in your pocket.

Now the price need to go under 250 euro and i will buy one. I hate these tablets we get only today. Cant use one handed and dont fit in any pockets. Few more improvements needed like lose the selfie camera and add a smaller screen on the main camera side so it can be used for video calls and selfies.

I used to love flip phones and im so glad they are making a come back. But if those prices are anything like right then it will be a long time before i ever get one.
Now that phones can be made Virtually bezelless, instead of making the actual screen fold why not make a flip phone that the top part of the bottom screen and the bottom part of the top screen meet perfectly when opened. Giving the illusion of one whole screen and the software runs both screens at the same time making it look like one screen. Surely this would be a cheaper way of doing a flip phone. id certainly buy one as im fedup with phones getting bigger and bigger for no real reason.
