US will broaden the ban on Huawei in 2020

The trade ban affecting Huawei will only get worse, not better in 2020.

    And here I am, looking for a replacement phone by necessity (as the old one straight up just won't power up at all anymore), completely disregarding this and very much considering Huawei as a candidate. Then again, I'm in the EU and I couldn't care less about this latest US idiocy.

      Huawei can replace US suppliers. Really its the American market that loses out. Huawei will end up stronger and more independent.

      It is a very silly thing to have a trade with China. They have the biggest economy. And biggest market. And with India increasingly hungry for great Chinese handsets... The US market is not that big a loss... India has increasingly turned slightly towards Chinese smartphone manufacturers.

      And India does not exactly have a small economy or a small population. They are the 4th super power. And growing rapidly in economic strength.

      Kind of makes sense to turn more towards the Indian market than the US market. There are some very wealthy Indian people. Very wealthy.

      America loses. China won't come through unscathed. But will only end up stronger. And even more innovative. Whilst the US population are duped into thinking the iPhone is the best smartphone in the world and pay out ridiculous amounts of money for a phone that is currently a couple of years behind Droid.

      Other countries will be happily enjoying the benefits of fairer prices and better handsets. With extreme rated performance handsets.

        A sad chapter in the world history continues... To be honest then I hope China soon will pay back and close the market in China for US.
        It will probably never happen, but what I would like to see is a US banned in China where they not allow to get all kinds of minerals from China and then a complete ban of the rotten apple.
