They also were concerned about the soft plastic main screens getting damaged. Proximity sensors and strengthened glass screens solved both of these issues. Folding phones reintroduced softer more scratch-prone screens. It remains to be seen whether ultra thin glass coatings solve this new issue.

22:9 display ratio isn't a standard. I think 21:9 display ratio is better because it is the movie standard.

A tenth of an inch smaller than the Note 10+. That is full blown phablet size, which means they are quite problematic fitting in most jeans pockets.

The phone is looking pretty amazing. The Razr 2019 may look better, but it has terrible hardware, and everything is midrange nir low end on the Razr. Maybe that's why Motorola is delaying releasing that, without substantial improvements.
Samsung has improved the fold, as visible from the pics. Hopefully the crease is reduced, like the superb mechanism on the Razr phone.

the Z Flip is rumoured to have a faster processor than the Razr, along with more RAM, more storage and a higher-resolution display too. Underpinning all this will be a larger battery, while the Z Flip may even run on a newer version of Android out of the box.
Furthermore, the Z Flip may be US$100 or cheaper than the Razr, too.

Anonymous, 29 Jan 2020But didn't the Fold's screen broke due to real-world folding.The first revision broke for a handful people because it had the same non existent dust protection as the Motorola Razr. That was a long time ago in smartphone years.
