I don't want a discussion about something else just this article. And obviously offline is useful for people who don't have much Internet coverage. I don't have that issue as I have online coverage. But everybody is different but nothing got to do with this article. So it all goes back to u trying to be clever in the beginning talking about maps data using alot of phone storage when u was completely wrong. That's why u post rubbish alot

Offline map will work everywhere online map no.
Its same like when people bargain for memory slot in their phone when they can just use cloud storage. This is the same thing.

There is no mine agenda just people who dont understand the very basic things because they could understands them but they refuse like you instead will say something else usualy wrong.

Maps are loaded instantly from the Internet when u open the app. Just like apple maps don't let u use in offline mode and maps aren't stored on device. It's all Internet servers and maps are loaded instantly in a second. And yes you are right u do keep posting rubbish. It helps if u research first before u post

They just NOW started rendering building and landmark polygons? That data has been in Open Street Map databases for years. I guess they've beat OsmAnd+ by one step though - indoor polygons. OsmAnd+ shows the same shops in the same locations for Mineta San Jose but it doesn't draw the indoor walls.

Basic app took only basic ammount of space but for a full landscape map with 10% information you have to download it.

In this case is good to have a plenty of storage.

I'm an Apple user but I say Google Maps Street View is thousands of miles ahead that Look Around in terms of cities you can view.

Well the major difference between google maps and Apple maps is we android users can store maps into an SD card to not loose too much disk space compared to cringe apple which does not support any memory cards and are disk space limited.
So big update like this would and should eat a big chunk on the phone storage.
Another thing is what apple introduced today google had long time before.

It's also much improved, Street view is very clumsy and outdated and it just look bad. I wonder when Google going to upgrade street view to level of this "Look around" which looks very modern and works very smoothly, photo quality is also lot better and so on.
