Just found out some info... On Chinese media... Both xiaomi and Nubia Red Devils team have been testing and running certain devices at 100w charging speeds.
Reportedly a well known leaker on Chinese media site weibo (which I have). Have claimed they where running a zte Nubia red magic device at a charging speed of 100w.
Also xiaomi will soon be launching 100w charging. Oppo will advance this and launch 120w charging soon.

So less heat and thereby less detoriation of battery overtime.

That's all...good I guess but the elephant in the Nubia room hasn't been cleared since the first Red Magic: global software. The global ROMs still lack so many features (being more vanilla than even the Pixel phones) and they've yet to address any of it. I'm sure they've already given up on the Red Magic 3s.
In order for the Red Magic 4 to get my attention, they need to pull a OnePlus or Razer and allow the phone to be easily rooted and bootloader unlocked to allow different ROMs that get support to be side-loaded onto the phone like ASOP or Lineage. I understand them not wanting to focus much on the software (despite not having many phones to focus on anyway...), but they need to allow us to use any ROM we like if they're not going to give it solid features and updates.

There could be battery charging limiter. Like charging only up to 80%. Because these third party apps drains battery too.

Faster charging speed sometimes can degrade battery health quicker. Don't state anything that are not facts. The photo is still pre-eliminary device info. I don't even think the battery will be Li-ion, but Li-Po as with other current devices. You need to calm down, mate. Stop insulting Apple and stop making nonsense about Android phones. 120W charging? Dude, USB-C maximum wattage is 100W.

Anonymous, 31 Jan 2020I am quite "worried" this insane charging speed kills the b... moreYou should worry more about people charging their phones to 100% that does some real damage to the battery
Plus we don't know the battery technology they could be using multiple cells batteries
For instance 8 smaller batteries all charging at 10watts each simultaneously and in parallel

And the year next, you just have to snap a pic of wall outlet and phone will say battery full.
On a more serious note, do we know for sure these insane change speeds don't damage the battery health and longevity.

if they focus on being the first company to equip a phone with 8000 mAh battery, that would justify the 80w charger, a phone with a 5000-6000 mAh battery doesnt need more than 30w fast charger.
and for the love of god, cant they (phone companies) put some effort and work together to get the solid state battery ready and be done with Li-Po ones for good.

I am quite "worried" this insane charging speed kills the battery quicker within a year (who knows whether heat is produced within the phone). The battery tech is still Li-ion anyways as seen in the 1st picture . If Nubia could at least use Li-polymer or graphene (hope it is available), i wouldn't be so "worried".

Looks like ZTE Nubia has a winner here... SD 865. 144hz Display, 80W Beyond Simply fast charging. Gaming phones really seem to be actually pioneering smartphones in many proven ways. Not just superb cooling systems. And screen tech. But now charging tech... Even the triple camera setups is very impressive for gaming phone standards. Even to the point of last years flagship quality. Maybe even better than that.
Really makes sense for power hungry and cutting edge tech... To start paying more attention to gaming phones... Well. That is where my main attention seems to be these days...
Well done ZTE, Nubia. You have dusted a lot of the competition here already.
