lets wait and see SD865 version..this is only to tease the market....i dont like the idea of using midrange SoC, that not the "poco idea"...this is just teasing the market...probably some new manager is in charge and he is afraid :)

I's a bit sad that it seems like it has become a trend, for OEMs to release a successor's model but with weaker spec, but hey, as long as it's cheap ...
This one i may consider trying it out, but only if the price is lower than 200$, because i know and i've been offered by some people in my town for their poco F1 for as low as 160$ with good condition.

Xiaomi truly needs to put an extreme amount of focus into offering more LTE bands. ( why is this even an issue?) Specifically in my case the North American market. There is a ton of business here for Xiaomi to dominate. As long as they dont mess things up, by not offering enough LTE/+ bands. I mean it super cheap budget phones can offer every single LTE band then why can't Xiaomi? Offering 3 of 4 bands to a market that uses 16 bands, marketingwise is just dumb.

Nice to see Xiaomi following the Oneplus business model: Impress first, then letdown, but always keep increasing prices.
On a second tought, it's the complete opposite of nice.

We don't care if it is rebranded k30. Price is the key. If it launch below 15k. It will be a huge hit. Indeed k30 is one of the best midrange phone

flaw, 01 Feb 2020so what's the point made the sub brand if they selling the ... moreThay can sell it for cheaper, without destroying main brand value...even thou we on the western market see all Xiaomi phones as cheaper alternative, on domestic Chinese and Indian markets, it is not the cheapest one, and it is a big name brand that have plans to sell little more expensive devices....so the don't want to ruin that by selling device for dirty cheap under same brand.
Same does VW in automotive industry....they have Audi and VW brands that are luxury (more or less) and than there is Skoda and Seat that sells same thing under other badges, but for lesser prices.

Xiaomi executive: the solution is simple. Just as what Sun Tzu has said, rebranding a product would suffice.

i am disappointed with the sd 730g. it would have been better if they at least had sd 855+, if not sd 865.
