Findecanor, 03 Feb 2020Megapixel myth.That statement was so 2013 - 2017. It's like that because sensors are freakishly small like 1/3.0 - 4.5. Nowadays, sensors are big enough to make 108MP useful plus flagship processors can process these 108MPs. Stop with that outdated stigma. Soon in 2040, we'll have satellite powered 1 Gigapixel at the palm of our hands.

27MP photos with 1.6 micron pixels isn't a myth.
12MP photos with 1.4 micron pixels for main camera does suck and I'm glad Xiaomi upped to a significantly larger sensor. Now they just need to optimize their camera software for this sensor.

Where is Mediatek Dimensity 1000/L from Xiaomi? Only Oppo believes with Dimensity 1000/L?
K30 Pro shoud have Mediatek Dimensity 1000/L to make that Redmi even cheap. Because so many upset of LCD screen instead of AMOLED. I think people like AMOLED than 120Hz LCD.

Why can't Xiaomi do more affordable phone with at least these following specs:
- Just one (yes, ONE) rear 108 MP Camera
- Decent front-cam
- Snapdragon 730
- OLED Display
- Fast Charging
- At least 128 GB Storage
- At least 6GB RAM

If you check the photo comparison tool between the K30 (IMX686) and the Note 10 pro, you can clearly see that the photo on the IMX686 gives more detail and overall better.

Anonymous, 03 Feb 2020Yeah enjoy your 0 updates and warranty service lolthis is wrong. my wife and i have recently switched from samsung to xiaomi and will never regret it. from flagship (i have a pocophone f1 and my wife has a mi 9t pro) to low end (my wife's secondary phone is a redmi s2), we have had excellent support from local xiaomi service centers here in the philippines and the updates are timely. for example, my pocophone f1 was launched with oreo, while in my case i immediately got an update to pie out of the box; and just recently i updated to android 10. in between those we also had minor and security updates aplenty. my wife dropped her mi 9t pro and cracked her screen, the screen was replaced by a xiaomi service center in no more than 1 hour with very minimal fees.

Anonymous, 03 Feb 2020Yeah enjoy your 0 updates and warranty service lolTheir warranty and general aftersales support (ie., if your phone breaks) is pretty bad, so buy it from a store like Amazon which will take care of that. As for the updates, Xiaomi is actually pretty good when it comes to MIUI phones such as these. It's the Android One and ultra-cheapos that I would worry.
