Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite in for review

06 February 2020
It's not an "S10e, take two", it's larger and better. And it's not quite a Galaxy S20, though it borrows a few features from the upcoming lineup.

Sean, 06 Feb 2020$800 for a Lite model with plastic body. No thanks $600 in Thailand

No IP68 shouldn’t qualify it as an S series phone.

It is sad that Samsung cheapen the A series by removing their Water resistance, forcing people to spend too much money for the flagship phones.

Josephnero, 07 Feb 2020Hope it's true. I find FHD Lcds much sharper than WQHD amoledsThen you have eye problem. If you said it about 1080p both. Then it could be true as LCD pixels tends to blend with each other for light bleeding and OLED pixels stay clear.
For the same reason a 2k OLED will look much sharper and clearer than 2k LCD.
So, stop your lies that FHD lcd looks sharper than 2k OLED.

These two have no reasons to exist, imo. Had the note 10 lite actually had 3.5mm jack, then it might satisfy a few edge screen hating note fans.

Wont survive even that long. 6 months after launch its either going to get hugely discounted or no one would be buying it. Since Samsung Flagship users will prefer buying the True S series smartphones whether S10s or the S20s depending on their budget...

It is just an overpriced A series smartphone whose naming has been played with so that they can justify the price. You can srsly call the S10 lite another A91 lol

Must review its OIS. My iPhone is capable to take handheld lowlight shot at 1/4 second Sutter speed without any blur.

I think that I definitely will never get the naming scheme of this phones..... why they didn't call this S20 lite?????? It makes more sense since it actually looks similar

The lite version of S10 & Note 10 is easily the most confusing products ever sold. Cutting corner in unexplainable places, (Note 10 Lite use 9810? Why? And S10 Lite have no wireless charging? Why?) the high price doesn't make sense either for consumer (only make sense for them, as lowering the cost mean it'll intrude upper A-series so no)

It's hard to understand why Sammy is making expensive phones (but with decent features or specs) recently, such as the A80.

A80 is way more expensive than a Mi Note 10 or ROG Phone 2 in my country (one has better main cameras, the other has better performance), but the flippy cam is cool, though.

S10 series was very expensive at launch, a S10 anew in my country gets you an iPhone 11. Years ago Samsung S series was always cheaper than the (overpriced) iPhone, for example, Samsung S7 vs. iPhone 6s or 7.

Now there's a S10 Lite. As mentioned, this is not meant to replace the actual S10. Speaking of which, it shouldn't be an upgrade over the S9, because it skimps wireless charging and ingress protection. S9 also has an aluminium body, but S10 Lite has plastic body (seriously???). Price will be a shock. It's an upgrade over phones like the A50s but not from phones like the S8 or S9.

Judging preeliminary prices and specs/features, you'll be better off picking an iPhone XR, S10+, realme X2 Pro, Mi Note 10 (if photography is your thing), or ROG Phone 2 (if you live in Asia and you like gaming). Plastic body for that price just doesn't cut through 2020.
