05 February 2020
Four different designs imagine how the camera lens can be hidden from sight (and protected from scratches) by a round rotating cover.

I've had my HTC 10 (non-sapphire, probably obsolete version of glass compared to nowdays) for a while under heavy duty and I can't see a single scratch on it, let alone a scratch that would mess up with camera's capabilities.

I could probably imagine someone having said problems in extremelly dusty environments, but in thes cases this mechanism would most likely give in before any noticeable scratches would appear.

Finally a modern smartphone company is thinking of bringing back lens covers. Lens covers don't just protect against scratches but also smudges. I'm tired of having to clean my camera lenses everytime I want to take a picture.

Man, OP should stop with this nonsensical faux-innovation already.
