Looks nice specially the lovely retro looks and ergonomics but if you want portability, APS C sensor and relative cheap you can pick the Sony A6300 with the 16-50mm lens kit, it should be less than $700... if you want even cheaper camera you can look for the Sony A6000 for just $350 with the 16-50 kit lens, for photos is still a very competitive camera in 2020.

With the price of a midrange DSLR and with a simple
pancake lens, X100V is not a "popular" compact at all !
Look at Canon G5X II and G7X III how it's perfectly done !
V is for veee, but the customers are not sheeeps ...

I prefer the upcoming RX10 V but that's a Bridge camera that definitely won't fit in your pocket.
If I was looking for a pocketable camera I'd look into this and Sony's RX100 line, if I wanted a rugged pocketable camera I'd look into the much inferior but cheaper Olympus Tough TG 6, if I wanted a full frame pocketable camera I'd look into the Sony RX1 II/RX1 III.

It's very funny to pay this price for a pocket amateurish tourist camera when you can buy for same cash a real pro-grade camera from Sony, Canon, Nikon and even Pentax with removable multiple lenses and real profecional features...
