That doesn't change the fact that the 20 lineup are a... moreexcept you are paying €899 for a 120Hz screen in FHD+ or 60Hz WQHD+ instead of not even FHD on iPhone, where you can get FHD phones for around 140€ or less, new 12mp 1.8μm cameras (yes not the 108MP but still better than S10, Note10, and iPhone11), new SoC with great performance and battery life (let's hope).

If you want something other than Qualcomm, Mediatek might be alright for midrange phones.
However, Samsung needs to stop being foolish and use Snapdragons for all Galaxy flagship phones. Forget about Exynos.
Also, nobody wants Bixby, use Google Assistant like other brands of Android phones.

It's not their Mali GPU to blame. Its because Samsung cheaps out their schedulers and has a bad SoC architecture. You can compare to Sd845 and Sd855. Mali GPU can perform well if implemented correctly. Bad SoC design can cause throttling and decreased efficiency.

Its cores are also newer (Cortex A76 vs A75). Kirin 970, ex. Honor Play, may throttle easily, but Kirin 980 is a big step up from Kirin 970. Software also plays an important role here.
I have tried a Huawei P30 and P30 Pro in a SG phone outlet.
EMUI app loading (in P30) is faster than OneUI (my S10e), though it doesn't seem to be significant. Remember that OneUI has lots of bloatware (Samsung Pay, DeX, etc.) and runs jn the background, even adware (Samsung Push Service and Galaxy Gift), even if they can be disabled.
However, when it comes to gaming, according to GsmArena's test in gaming benchmarks, both the P30 and S10e underperforms, P30 seemingly gives lower framerates in the same settings, however, P30 maximum battery temperature is also lower than the S10e. S10e can reach 44 degrees Celcius. 44 is near critical levels of battery temperature.
Suit yourself, but if multitasking and not gaming is concerned, the P30/P30 Pro is better than the S10 series, though probably not significant. I stick to an iPhone and my realme X2 Pro currently and both devices run flawlessly.

Then I used my grandpa's S8 for 10 minutes and started to hate the curved screen because of the ghost touches. Also, one of my friends has the S8, and the screen broke fir the second time less than a month after she replaced it. I just want to have a phone that I can drop without breaking.
Also, I was so excited when they released the s10e. Small (my G7 is too big for me), flat, and a headphone jack. Now the s20 is too big, stupid curved edges and no headphone jack. Samsung lost me.
And yes, the jack is really important to me. Turns out there are different kind of dongles that won't work always on other devices. And lost the dongle of my S5e within a month 😭

In my country price of s10+ 128 went down only 100$ since release (I comparing shops that can distribute phones officially, not ones where they import and resell stuff from other countries). So probably it's gonna be the same with s20. As one mentioned before, it is a "price drop" of extras you get with pre order.

I don't know what you/that guy meant by smooth. You really don't spend your time pulling the icons left to right or up to down. Do you ?

So, Using ARM cortex core directly won't change anything. If that were the case then Huawei's Kirin would have been better than Exynos SoC. But It's the opposite.
Anyway they are using Exynos 990 which uses mongoose custom core unless those leaks are wrong..

Current phone S7, I was going for the S8 but when I saw it have an unusual aspect ratio, rounded corners and being edge display only, I went for the normal S7, I wanted the 64GB version, dual sim if available but NO, I got the last S7 of the store 32GB single sim, well it was black at least.
So what should I get now? A now cheaper S10e 256GB/8GB or the upcoming iPhone 9/SE2? I also don't like huge phones and as they won't release a smaller variant, at least at launch.
*also the S10e has an enterprise edition, I don't know if it's available in every country but if it is, I will try to ask a relative of mine who has his own business, if he can get this for me as this version of the phone comes with 4 years of security updates.

This price leak is illogical.
5G modem+4GB RAM upgrade only for 100 euro.
I am no going to trust this leak.
