If you say the three vendors lose because of quitting the MWC which is nearly certainly severely affected by the coronavirus but not any other reasons related to themselves, that's not reasonable.

      Newsflash. On spanish televisión says that this year the MWC has been canceled for coronavirus

        3 main loosers of smartphone market dropped out of MWC: LG, Sony an Nokia. Virus is not a reason, but rather justification. Oh yeah - they care about employees... If you care about your employees - give them a payraise rather than drop out of MWC...

          postpone or delay is better than cancelling it... too much money is involved, it would be devastating, big or small companies, if it is cancelled.. this is where small companies show their invention, innovation and design..

              If this is feasible at all, postponing the event at a later date this year could be a more reasonable solution under the circumstances.
              This would obviously not be easy to do from an organizational point of view, but could potentially be a viable way forward for many exhibitors, the GSMA and the city of Barcelona.

                  Just received the news that Nokia & HMD are cancelling their participation in MWC Barcelona 2020. OK, the event is meaningless now. Just cancel it. The event will be extremely boring without the participation of Nokia and HMD.

                              I think they should maintain it. MWC is not only big companies (Samsung, Xiaomi, LG etc...), it's also plenty of smaller companies and startups that depend on it to exhibit their products and gain exposure. It'd be unfair to cancel it just because 6 or 7 companies decided to pull out.

                                Though it would be a sad news, it's still safer to cancel this year's event.
