Better to be safe than sorry. Rather be home away from any chance catching the coronavirus than checking on another brand new phone. Mobile industry is only interesting these days with the foldables.

The reason why we didn't change to e-autos in the 90's was because we built on a foundation on fossil fuels that terminated the environment and our health. A quick change into the e-technology would ruin houses and jobs and economies. So they waited 20+ years to introduce the change.
This technology today should not cost over 700 euros. Yet they charge for a flip phone with less capabilities than the flagships for 1,500 euro just because.....
They're going to wait many years building into this mentality to satisfy their homes with fat salaries. That's they only reason you see steep raises in price on mobile phones. Ridicules to the core.
Even a virus got upset and decided to do something about it, pan intended.

Asking for a mobile device thousands of dollars where you can pay your rent for two months or buy the best fridge and the best washing machine together.
They do their petty gatherings to make it look big. Yes it's marketing. And spare me the "exchange information". Since when do they have to meet in person NOWADAYS to exchange information. We live in an era where info is available with a blink of an eye.
By having this thing " Barcelona Mobile Gathering" cancelled, the manufacturers are going to lose popularity, they're going to lose their "GOD-Status" and maybe we get the chance to see their prices falling. Too much exposure raised the prices way more that it should have had.
I repeat, " They wanna make it look WOW and big " , so they can charge even more, for nothing.
