Why people comparing it with Poco F1? Poco X1 it a mid-range phone with price starting from 15999 rupees. Poco F1 was a flagship (mainly in terms of performance) with price starting from 20999 rs. Even though price difference is not much but poco f1 compromised on so many things (especially build quality). Don't degrade Poco x2 by comparing it with Poco F1. Wait for Poco F2 and compare Poco F1 with it then.

The problem now and the issue then. First devices were as cheap as possible (in every way) and the "company" had no profit, was a flat income and the customer paid only for the crappy materials, emploiys and manufacturing. Of corse a company like that can pull this off, once maxium 2 times, such exageration, to make themself known. They got known and well, they need to do some profit, so here comes the second problem. First they attracted only chepos that think of nothing but as cheap as possible, if someone could do it for free. This people often ask themselves why their sallary goes down not up, well boy, this is why... you are to blame. Anyhow minding the fact they attracted only chepos, they now will have a hard time making a profit from this device, as of course is not as "sparkling" as the first, and the chepos are waiting for a 10 GB RAM hardware with the latest cpu at even less the price, thing that no company can do. So this is how chinese brands slowly die, of course letting the fact that they go "kapput" quite oft so the people buy more often, the sales are still going down, "the chepos" remember? Ad to that the fact that smartphobes have reach their highst level of share, ain't going to make to many new customers now, and you are seeing drops in sales, pretty much like 4th quarter of December.

I prefer battery sipping, bright with infinite black-OLED over 120hz LED.
And Poco right now is going to replace the old budget-flagship Mi series with mi-lite and mi-prime.
The original Mi series itself is going to be more upscale and more expensive fight Huawei and Samsung directly.

Also missing telephoto cam. Xiaomi should make the successor of Mi 9 SE at least at the same size as Galaxy S20 and Huawei P40. Mi 10 series is too big and heavy (with 9 mm thickness) especially for small hand (mostly Asian and women).

I just hope they're not thinking to rebrand the Redmi K30 Pro as the Pocophone F2. But I'm one to talk as I haven't even acquired a Pocophone F1 yet. Hopefully this March that dream will come true...

another tech news site has posted an article regarding an interview with a poco executive on f2 development, and the said executive mentioned that the costs for sd855, sd855+, and sd865 makes it not feasible for them to launch a device with such socs. they have added that within q1 of 2018 qualcomm has significantly reduced the price of sd845, enabling them to make the f1 then. last year, qualcomm priced the sd855 50% more than the sd845 and has not reduced the price even as it introduced the sd855+. sd865 is priced 50% more than the sd855 and is 100% more than sd845, and it looks like qualcomm is not reducing the price for sd865 even after some month like it did with sd855/sd855+.

Xiaomi is either still testing the waters of what they want the Poco brand does, or have no idea what they're doing. The Poco F1 was made literally as a direct competitor to the OnePlus 6. But then they stopped. Then they made this X2 as a direct. competitor to the Realme X2.
It seems that Xiaomi doesn't have any vision of what Poco should be. They're just picking a competing device and wasted their time to make something to attack it instead of simply making a great device on its own. Worst part of course, the Poco X2 is released way later than the Realme X2, making the comparison quite laughable.
Xiaomi imo is going stagnant now. Their old strategy of selling cheap phones are being attacked by Realme, and now they don't know what to do. Their recent releases have been crapshoot one after another, random things without any rhyme nor reason.

I remember they released the Mi 9 SE, I liked that phone, it was compact and good mid range specs. But it didn't had a big screen like the market wanted. Then, they immediately released the Mi 9 lite, which was the same phone but bigger screen. Now, in stores you can find only the Mi 9 lite. #sad

I'm more concerned with the build quality (reliability) instead. Check Gupta Informations System channel in YouTube about the K30 durability test. The phone splits into half when bent/twisted. The phone was completely destroyed and the battery leaked. No Redmi phone has this amount of, substantial damage. This is in comparison to the Redmi Note 8 Pro and K20, even JerryRig's Redmi Note 7. The fingerprint scanner is its weakest link.
As it's possible that one may accidentally sit, drop, or even step on the phone, you should consider these before buying the phone, even if it comes with a cheap price tag and good specs. Continous pressure to the phone's frame will cause permanent and often irrepairable damage. A case helps, but cannot completely save you from this.
Again, consider carefully before buying. Other alternatives include the Redmi Note 8 Pro (cheaper, but only 60Hz LCD display and weak cameras), Realme XT/X2 (only 60Hz OLED display, but good cameras and relatively strong frame, XT's SoC is only Sd712) and the Samsung A51 (weaker SoC)

This phone may have been worthy of appreciation if it was an original phone. Being a rebranded phone kills your appeal. OnePlus used to get criticized for the same (their older phones used to be a straight up copy of Oppo phones), but then they started making original phones & started getting more recognition & praise. Poco needs to do the same.
