Avoiding the hype train. Just want to know the battery life and if it could be a better alternative than the Mi Band 3.

I find it much faster and convenient that way. But that's also a personal preference. Some want it, some don't care, and it's fine for me.

Square still better. Chinese companies discovered.

              It shows more info.
              Smaller wrist looks better. (Asian)

Digital watch face beats analog, as analog watch face looks unrealistic. And since analog mostly demand a rounded face, due to the rotating finger hands, there is no need for round face smart watch.

AnonD-558092, 17 Feb 2020Personally tried a vivoactive 3. So based on my own tastes, I don't see the use of the rotating Bezel at all personally, this is a feature useful on a watch that have mechanical components and can't just allow for instant change like numerical systems...
For the use I want out of a smartwatch I don't think this is something that would bother me at all to have a low resolution display, same for the UI, I intend to use it as a practical extension of my phone that give me access to some useful things, like time or notifications without having to grab my phone, or just not miss any notifications thanks to the vibrations (I've missed notifications, sms and even calls with my phone on my pocket), so I don't need an ultra fluid and HD experience, mainly if out of that I can get longer battery life, which is for me the most important point on a smartwatch, and well, this one is the only one actually fulfilling my feature's desires.

Do a LTE eSIM model pls. We need no more sports smartwatches for 250-300$ for bluetooth watch with screen. Money for nothing.

-Missing the rotating bezel, which I really liked on my GWatch.
-Display is low quality (bad resolution, bad colour depth, looks like a 65k display). Yes that's not the most important thing on a watch but it annoyed me. Others won't notice probably.
                      - UI was not very responsive.

Otherwise your points are all good.

To each his/her own, but I prefer a watch with a ROUND dial.

I've yet to find a smartwatch that beat the specs of the Garmin Vivoactive 3 that I want :
-Round design that fit perfectly with the watch eastetic (you don't watch media on a smartwatch, so a square/rectangle display is useless, the classic round design is more pleasing).
-Wear OS or an equivalent with many faces that allow for modern but classical mechanical watch + data appearance.
-Good battery life, and not using Wear OS apparently make this watch blow Android smartwatches out of the water, I mean we talk about 2 or 3 days max for an Android smartwatch while this one get a week !
-NFC and being able to pay using it, not many watch outside Android, Apple or Samsung support it, but this is one of them !
                          -Smartphone notifications.
                          -Locate your smartphone feature.

All the rest is just gimmick, I don't need an activity tracker, I make my own sport routine schedule, I don't need it to have 4G or GSM as I strongly prefer having my smartphone with me in case I need it, including the fact that all life saving data are available on it (emergency contact and medical informations), also I always have my cellular data enabled on both my sims, and I don't see what a watch is good for on internet anyway, even dialing if there is an emergency wouldn't be useful, I can't imagine myself falling and seriously injuring myself, fighting to stay conscious and still using a damn smartwatch to call for help while on smartphone a simple 3x or 5x press on the power button does the deal...
So I also don't need it to drain battery because it have a GPS, my localisation is always ON on my smartphone as it is more conveignant and turning it off does not mean Google & co can't track me using other methods anyway, so I prefer having a more precise smartphone satnav than a small smartwatch one that drain the battery like crazy.
I certainly don't listen to music doing sport, I think one must be crazy to get out there, running on the side of the road listening to music, that's borderline suicidal behaviour, plus I don't like any kind of earphone that get inside the ear, that's so gross and unpleasant, nothing beat a good old headphone/headset for me.
I prefer running but being aware of my surrounding and occupy my mind by thinking about stuff and plans I have, music is better at home, which is where I like to do any indoor sport, I wouldn't want to go to the gym, that's a gross place where most peoples don't even really get there to do sport but rather to show off or pretend and most machines aren't even properly used anyway...
Having a heart rate and sleep monitoring is good, but that's it, and even there it only give an approximation, not number we should really trust as they are far less advanced than real medical devices.
Podometer could be useful too through, as distance itself could easily be measured using maps, which help keep the mind sharp (having computer thinking for us make us dumb), but the number of steps can be really good as it can easily vary regardless of the distance.

So yeah, I'd like to see other watch doing thing differently rather than always trying to be the same as it is already the case with smartphones...

One one side, they're about to reveal the sequel of their radically different and innovative flagship, the Find X2.

On the other hand, they have this smartwatch which is straight up a barely legal copy of the Apple Watch
They could have at least try

Presenting both the Find X2 and this Watch at the same event will be awkward for sure
