Samsung to enable 120Hz at QHD+ resolution for Galaxy S20 series

The new Dynamic screen option will automatically switch between 60 and 120Hz depending on several use cases.

    Whackcar, 18 Feb 2020120hz @ 1440p isn't anything new. Sharp & Razer have be... moreHere's a difference. IGZO IPS LCD can easily do 120hz at 1440p while what Samsung have is AMOLED. OLED overall is quite "hard" to do that and Samsung did it.

          Hopefully there'll be a developer setting or ADB command to force 120hz at all times, like the oneplus 7T's have.

Phones don't heat up much during basic usage. Only during gaming would they heat up, but majority of customers don't play heavy games on their phones. So i wouldn't worry about overheating issues unless Sammy decides to rekindle the Note7 memories.

                  This is what we are waiting for, I hope the dynamic is effective to avoid overheating due to the combine of 120hz and QHD+ at the same time.
