If I buy a new BMW5series, I would get the facelift edition. But this is not happening when I get a 8110. RIM has to work harder...

What I'm wondering is why Blackberry only releases their phones for specific countries...
Let's take the 8120 and 8320 as an example... The 8100 and 8300 are availble in the Netherlands, but the 8120 (with wi-fi) is not, and that's the problem with Blackberry.
I want a phone with a camera and wi-fi, and Blackberry makes great phones. I really like the designs and trackball navigation, but they don't offer specific models over here.

I am selling mobiles for 12 years Laurie,

And i still agree with the friend below about Blackberry. It can get instant emails ......so what? If I get 40-50 emails on average on a day and I need to do a bit of TIME MANAGEMENT, this machine is the perfect tool to destroy your time management.

GPS you can get perfectly with any other mobile. SonyEricsson has even just released a normal Handsfree with GPS (HGE-100). So you can use any SonyEricsson with a navigator 7 sodtware that you can check for a month before buying.

If you live in a country where there is no Blackberry representation, then WHERE on earth will you fix your blackberry?

If you want to buy accessories for Blackberry again it is not as simple as buying a Nokia/Samsung/SonyEricsson even Motorola accessories.

Finally, after you buy the Blackberry you will feel boring as may be another year will pass before seeing a new model whereas with the other manufacturers every once in a while a new exciting mobile is on offer. Technology minderd people will NOT stay for sso long with Blackberry as they can do perfectly their job with HTC Window based mobiles or other email capable mobiles through the pull activity of their mobile.

FINALLY where is the security with Blackberry? Big brother may be watching your emails?

I personally have a blackberry and love it, for thoes who say its crap probably dont use the features it built for.

Mike... start to learn a little bit more about phones before you start making comment- 1 year in the telco industry is nothing.

I've been selling phones for a year now. All I can say about RIM's products are that they suck and have nothing new to offer. I have had nothing but problems with the 8100's, so I'm guessing that it'll be the same with this one. WOW GPS, first you need to pay for data if you are using the stock GPS maps, shit quality. WI-FI, mmmmmm look at the size of the screen people!!!!!

Can somebody tell me why it took RIM 2 years to put GPS and WI-FI in a model that has existed for 2 years???

Answer: they don't care about consumers, only corporations who buy phones for their employees and want to have the newest Blackberry so they can all show off, these people usually know nothing about phones or electronics in gereral.

                                  Luck is with me.

Anyway, this phone is pretty cheap, considering the WiFi capability that Blackberrys have
