Tech fan1, 21 Feb 2020Why didn't they make it compatible with low end devices? Fl... moreeveryone would want to use a flagship the device as a Stadia device because it's a top performer.

Atoms, 19 Feb 2020I hope God of war will be available for it though. Will Sony open the god of war? INo chance I would say. GOW is one of the first party exclusives and big drawing name for PlayStation. Sony aint gonna make it available to anybody but PS users.

Why didn't they make it compatible with low end devices? Flagships are already fast enough,no one would like to use it on a top performer device.

the only requirements needed are that it supports video streaming at whatever resolution option you want. The phone does no processing as far as the game is concerned.

barom, 19 Feb 2020It's not about cpu and processing power. It's about ensurin... moreDude simple as it is, it is mostly depending on internet speed, nothing to do with device itself, stadia is cloud based and should work on any device, everything it is up to marketing and stratigical expansion of stadia service in google hands. It makes more sense give Stadia support for gaming devices or top end Samsung ones. Because majority of gamers who are going to be intrested in Stadia will likely already own some kind of gaming phone or Samsung top devices, everything makes sense here.

It's about ensuring consistent performance across different devices which can be attributed to a whole lot of factors like screen or post processing of screens, frame buffer handling etc. It's kind of impossible to do that when most manufacturers do things differently across the board. And if it fails to deliver the intended performance, the users will complain and so they move cautiously.

Tbh this is a real joke. They should just make a support for specific minimum hardware specs like Snapdragon 710 and Mediatek G90 as minimum requirements to have it and stop this making access for only high end brands with premium price segment
