In my local freeadds, there are dozens of blackberrys for sale.
Its because the competition is so much better with a simpler user interface.
However the real problem is the form factor.
When was it the last time that anyone actually asked the customer what did you want?
Not assume everyone wants a Iphone clone?
I wouldnt have either even if it was given to me.
Why? because they are both quite unsuitable for folk like me.
Couldnt use them.
One of my occupations is dirty wet and the phone will have to live in my pocket with tools nuts and bolt etc.
It wouldnt last a day.
also I need a BIG querty keyboard. there none made any more. Also a BIG battery say 5000mah .also a big speaker so i can hear it over machinery noise.
There ar other folk in this world apart from urbanite and office workers. were not catered for. Were well off independent and think for ourselves. The money stays in our pocket till some manufacturer meets OUR need.
Id be happy to work with a hand set maker on a specification i want. this reflects the sort of person I am, what i do, it would be an extension of my ethos and a faithful daily companion to my life style.
there are millions of us type of folk world wide.
Ther market is there. I hope someone is forward thinking to go for it.

too bad android phone didn't have the same security level as blackberry... neither does iphone nor WP.
motorola might be an exception.

Its the samsung which captured the indian market with its affordable galaxy ace, galaxy Y and feature low cost alternative phones !!RIM doesn't stand a chance in India !! Its the bluff advertisement by RIM in media who's desperate to find alternate market after abandoned in U.S and Europe !! Go to the streets and malls in indian cities , you Ll hardly see an bb phone getting sold !
