Aldwin, 20 Feb 2020Can someine explain how Chip works? Why does other company ... moreIntel does not get chips from Samsung.

Qualcomm, nVidia, and others are chip designers. TSMC is a chip manufacturer. The designers send their designs to the manufacturers to get made...

Intel and Samsung are both designers and manufacturers.

    >breaking the 3nm barrier
Please don't talk about lithography processes as if the numbers actually mean anything, they've long ceased to be anything but a marketing name. Samsung 7nm != TSMC 7nm != Intel 7nm, the difference in actual density between the same generation from two fabs could be greater than two consecutive generations from one fab.

Nick.B, 20 Feb 2020Wait for Kirin 1020 and forget about Sammy. And who is going to make them?? Forget Sammy?? Theres a chance they will need Samsung :D

      Silly fanboy

" Reuters is reporting that the U.S. is considering a way to block Huawei from receiving chips it has produced by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). The latter is the world's largest independent foundry and manufactures chips designed by companies that don't own the facilities needed to fabricate these components.

And they will still use 4 year old chips for they mid range. It's shameful how a pretty phone like A51 has a midiocre chip that can't even compare with the S665 and his price is more than poco f1

It'll be interesting to see if Samsung will make Huawei's chips if TSMC is banned from doing so.

Wait for Kirin 1020 and forget about Sammy.

Can someine explain how Chip works? Why does other company Like Intel, NVIDIA and even Qualcomm get chip from Samsung when they have their own chipsets? I also heard about Qualcomm Chipsets before are made from Samsung....

What does TSMC role in the chip industry?

Tmsc will be producing 5nm+ for Qualcomms 875 in the autumn... 865 totally fine for me... But 875 with 5nm+? Android going to the moon...
