The only exception to this is the realme X because it went out of production as soon as they announced realme XT but people still looking for it because it's more unique compared to the XT. Even Samsung phones (except the S and Note series) suffers from price drop only months after and are you still going to say that they are also rubbish then?

Dropping prices are very common in most (and especially lower-end) Android phones. realme phones aren't rubbish. This is not an iPhone, boy. Their specs are very good for the price. Even Samsungs have low resale value. A used S10+ sells less than a (also) used iPhone XR in my country, and the S10+ costs more. And that's not when the S20 has arrived (these are 2019 resale value prices).
So the main point is that discounts in Android phones are to be expected. This is what you should consider when you buy non-Apple products. And again, realme phones aren't rubbish, they're actually pretty good.
