Users downloading latest updates only for the OS to fill up with more bugs since Apple is notorious for pushing out half baked updates.

Imagine if Google went all the way and added more megapixles, an ultrawide lens etc. They already run the game now but if they implemented aforementioned hardware changes noone would ever be able to touch them. Ever.

If it's going to live on your 6-7inch smartphone screen than yeah in good light the Samsung phones will do fine. It's really when you take it in doors, the photo quality just falls apart really fast. The only phone cameras that impressed me indoors and outdoors are the Pixel phones. Even the original Pixel one from 2016 impressed me more than my $1299 Note 10+. But TBH I don't use these phone cameras much when I already have a couple Sony MILC, A7RII, A6400 with lenses ranging from 16-200mm with much larger apertures than these small lenses and sensors on smartphones.

Samsung really needs this update because iPhone 11 and Note 10 are beating the main 108mp sensor. Danny Winget’s comparison videos on YouTube shows 108mp is on par or behind iPhone 11 Pro in both video and still.

This is not the first device with March security patch. The Android 11 Developer Preview 1 had it on all Pixels (except original) last week.

I will take the Honor V30 Pro for 569 Euro with this amazing camera and the price its the best phone dont need 108 MP cameras

I really hoped that the S20 Ultra had changed that but sadly no. Again a shitty piece of crap camera from Samsung. With that insane price one would think they would actually improve upon their shitty cameras and not just in a useless 100x zoom.

I guess I'm on the iPhone 12 Pro Max then.

I need a good screen, the best camera on the market with high res, clear and crisp photos - not the shitty low res photos from the past samsung phones.

I bought a Note 10 Plus last year but returned it after a short time due to the shitty camera. The Note 10 Plus was the perfect phone for me but the camera quality was so bad I had to return it. No innovation, no development since the S8. My old S6 stills takes better images than my Note 8..

I really want to get the Ultra but I'm so afraid that Samsungs cameras are still super shitty. I want to be able to zoom into my photos without them looking like a blurry mess.

Galaxy owner from day one (S,S2,7edge,9+ Note 3,4) says goodbye and switches at this miserable price performance ratio to the awesome Xiaomi Mi 10 pro

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2020Camera quality was worse now normal.Do you have anything to substantiate your rumor?

[deleted post]Just found a defective S20+ in JB HiFi actually, during a business trip. Screen flickers purple and won't run normally. I didn't mention this in my previous comment. See, Samsung can't even ship a proper unit to retailers. Apple does better. Even Xiaomi and Oppo does better as well. The iPhone is better, the upcoming Mi 10 and Oppo Reno 3 Pro is also probably going to be better as well. Only QHD 120Hz display is the S20's saving grace. Look at GsmArena's assessment about the S20 Ultra's cam and it's a bit dissapointing for the price.

Sorry Apple, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo, but we can't even supply correct and working retail units to store.

                                [deleted post]lol k.

LMAO the phone didn't even hit the market properly yet... but this is a good news for Samsung users!

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2020Camera quality was worse now normal.Short time I got to play with it, I thought the camera performance was nothing to write home about. Than again I find my Note 10+ camera to be meh too.

Got to play with this at Target this pass weekend and I must say, this tall format is better to use than my Note 10+. The screen edges seems to be less curved as well which is a huge plus for no case use.

Tried S20 series (5G, Snapdragon) already. Compared these with my S10 Exynos (because it's 4G).

Display looks very good, as it's what Samsung does best, provided there's no more burn-in issue. Cameras are excellent, much better compared with my S10 (Exynos has poor image processing). OS, however, is not necessarily faster, as scrolling has few stutters. At 120Hz FHD, there are few stutters on the test unit. Comparing this to an iPhone, the iPhone is still more fluid (though display is decent). Still waiting for benchmark scores like Antutu, though.

But at the end of the day, Samsung phones are not thoughtfully priced. I also had bad customer support in my country (mentioned about fixing a S7 screen in another post). Now my S10 costs less than an iPhone XR. I will rather get an iPhone and a Mi, realme, or Oppo phone instead of the Samsung. Unless there's a very good carrier-subsidized deal where I can get the handset for cheap/free. I'm also avoiding 5G, but also 4G with Exynos SoC.
